This is where you need to buy your next bike. After doing tons of research, reading reviews, and hours of YouTube videos, we narrowed down what we were looking for. We knew of the reputation of this shop, and a friend vouched for them and referred me to Scott, who runs the shop. My wife and I went in there near closing a few weeks ago, and Scott insisted we were all right. He had us demo a few bikes in their dedicated “testing area” and took the time to explain all the features thoroughly. My wife is average size, but I’m a big dude. I had it in my mind a brand I thought would work best for me. Scott was very accommodating with my choice, but asked if he could show me a different brand that in his opinion would suit me better. I’m already pushing the limits of the type of bike I’ve chosen, and he felt maybe a different one would be a little safer, stronger and powerful to suit my needs. As now way past closing we went home to think about it. We went out of town and had a week of rain before we finally got back in there. This time I met Hector the owner of the shop, he was just as friendly and informative as Scott and talked with him about this new 2nd option and stated that I live in a very hilly area and my concern was that the bike MUST be able to handle these hills with me on it or it’s a non deal. He assured me that this bike would handle it and offered to let me take a demo bike on an extended ride to my home area and give it some serious real world testing. After another few days of rain, today I went back in for 3rd time ready to seriously put this bike to the test. Scott was working today, had the bike charged to 100% and tires aired up. He had a feeling I’d be there on first day of no rain. I gotta tell you, this bike did everything I wanted and more. It did everything they told me it would and more. We brought the bike back absolutely impressed and bought two of them !! Scott was a pleasure to do business with, very informative, knowledgable and easy going. There was never pressure to buy anything. He knows his products and gathers the correct information in order to help you make the best choice possible. It couldn’t have been a better experience buying our bikes there. This is a small town bike shop, but pricing is on par with bigger shops and online pricing. Long Term Follow UP, March 2022: After two years and 7480 miles on my Norco Sight VLT 1, I took my bike in to eBike Cyclery for service. The bike was serviced as promised and now it's riding like new... I highly recommend E Bike Cyclery in San Dimas, Shimano and Norco. These guys are the best in the ebike biz!!

I became interested in acquiring an ebike (emtb) after renting ebikes with a couple of buddies and riding up the Topa Topas in Ojai CA.

After visiting multiple bike shops, including ebike specific, in Western LA County, Santa Barbara County & Ventura County and test riding multiple brands… I narrowed my search down to four brands: Bulls, Focus, Haibike and Norco. All of these brands offer great bikes, I was very intrigued by the Norco Sight VLT. The challenge was that no one seem to have it in stock…. On January 2nd I called, eBike Cyclery in San Dimas, Hector answered the phone and I asked if he had the Norco Sight VLT in stock in a medium size frame… he stated that he had both the Sight VLT 1 and Sight VLT 2. So I got in my car and drove to San Dimas from Westlake Village. After test riding the various bikes and discussing with Hector what I was looking for he recommended the Norco…I selected the Norco Sight VLT 1… Hector then cut down the bars, swapped & set the tires tubeless and set up all the pressures specifically to my size and weight… After 7 rides and 125 miles of trail riding I am 100% confident that I selected the best ebike shop in SoCal. This place came highly recommended from an existing customer, so I brought my parents here about a year ago to help them purchase their E-Bikes. We didn't really know anything going into it but that was okay because the staff was highly knowledgeable in all ebike-related things: cadence v torque sensors, mid-drive v hub-drive, etc. Because this is an E-BIKE ONLY SHOP, they know their stuff. They know what kind of lock will keep your bike safe, they know the specs on all their bikes, and they only carry brands that they trust are quality bikes because they care about customer safety especially when dealing with a bike that can go nearly 30 mph! My parents ended up getting an Electric Bike Co and an Aventon, with added accessories and helmets. They both love them! After saving up for a year, I came right back to this store where Scott helped me find the right bike for me after I test rode nearly 5 bikes. You can tell the employees really love their job and are very passionate about the products. They sell accessories too for decent prices; I got a basket, tire inserts, and an upgraded seat. They installed everything that day and I got to bring my baby home. They also offer a warranty from their shop because they are CONFIDENT in the products they sell.
