I'll start off by saying I wish I could give service a higher rating then overall experience on the same review. In short.. Server: 3 stars: kati did great,ty. Suggestion If hear or see guest not liking something or all things just ask it's not your fault. Food: 1 star: burgers good and salad too, other food not so much Quality for the price: 0 stars Ambiance: 2 stars: light above our table flickered, it was messing with my vertigo Drinks: 4 stars: lemonade and shake were great
Will I go back? For drinks at the bar maybe, if someone gave me a gift card or something for Christmas, other then that no way
Long version, for those who care .. We had not tried red Robin in over 3 years, due to poor quality food and a bad service experience then. So I had been bugging my wife to try it out again. We were a party of 8. Bill w/ tip $150, no alchohol on this tab. The menu was new, so I wanted to try some of the new dishes. Ordered the pretzel bites, first try they came out burnt, and cheese was cold, we sent them back, when they came back they looked the same I asked others to try them. Their faces told the whole story. We sent them back for good. Onion rings they looked burnt, they weren't, it was just the oil they were using in the fryer, the smell of the chips/fries/onion rings smelled like when your teenager leaves a frying pan to make a grilled chz on the stove for over a week, like burnt butter and salt. Distcusting I was really looking forward to endless fries, they were stiff, dark, burnt looking, taste like old nasty oil. Salad came out, it tasted good, I realized towards the end that caked around the bottom outside of the plate was old food, in my mind I was like what could have been stuck to this plate under my salad, I stop eating it immediately. Fries then came with my burger, just left those, my 8 yr old who loves fries had 2 bites. The burgers were good, was grateful for that. My other son had chicken, and yes that too came from the fryer, this dude loves chicken, out of the 2 he ate 1/2, no fries. Mind you I did not share my distaste for the food with the table till after dinner bc I didn't want to be that snooty guy that was complaining. My teenage boys finished their food, but they are teenagers who will at this age eat everything in sight.
Our server knew we were disappointed, as we'd left much food on our plates. Do you want to take this home? No way, no thank you
My stomach was already starting to bubble as I sat there.
Check arrived, we were charged twice for the pretzels. Server took care of that, and over heard us talking about our disappointment in the food. How do I know.. because from about 15 feet away the manager stared at our table for the last 20 min of our meal, as if we did something wrong, or about to go off the Ramsey. Did he come over and ask how it went... no. I'm not the one looking for discounts, but I would want to know if my restaurant was not meeting certain standards.
For now we will stick to Legends, for the same amount of food, higher quality, the bill would have run 60 bucks, and at least we know what we are getting into when...
Read moreSo went to the San Dimas location and arrive little after 9:15pm on monday 12/11/17 we were going to redeem the birthday burgers for me and my daughter. We had a party of four and server was a young lady and on receipt it said Smith. I advised we are celebrating my daughters birthday. The waitress was not attentive to us they did not acknowledged my daughters birthday and seemed to be rushed to leave. I had to continually wave for the waitress to assist us and asked over and over for containers for leftovers. I understand it was time for them to close then stop taking customers after 9pm . I was also told we could split order to use bith birthday burgers and when it came time to pay i was advised no we can only use one. I asked the waitress several time for a container so i could take fries seperate then i never got it on top of that she grabbed plate and stacked it on other plates to take so i no longer coukd take leftovers.im very disappointed as we always go to the Ranch Cucamonga location and the service there is exceptional. If we go for a birthday they sing happy birthday and bring ice cream its a all around good experience so i guess i expected the same. I will never return to this location. To top it off as we were leaving the one door was locked and an asian guy who was getting off work was leaving out of anither door so we walked out the same door as he held it open for us i said thank you and he just gave us a look and walked away. I dont know i guess im expecting to much from this location. Very disapointed. I will stick to the Rancho location or go across to...
Read moreI am a Royalty member. I got an email stating I could have clucks & fries, if I purchase a burger. I called to see San Dimas was participating. It was suggested I order over the phone to get the free clucks & fries. I ordered over the phone and placed my order & wanted it delivered. After a while the order taker said it would be full price, if delivered. I said, "I'll pick it up." I asked how much it would be. He responded, "$12.89." I drove to Red Robin & requested my order. It was brought right away, but now they wanted $26+. I said how can that be for a burger, the clucks are free. She said she had to talk to the manager. After several minutes she came back with the manager, as my food was getting colder & colder. He said there's no mention of the free clucks. He said that I should have ordered online and my rewards would have been applied. I told him the person taking my order said it would be $12.89, with the clucks being free. The manager then said I must have talked to a cooperate operator, but he would do me a favor and honor the free clucks. Do me a favor, what a joke. Then when I paid it took the girl minutes to ring it up and give me change. This whole ordeal took at LEAST ten minutes, all the while my food was getting cold. I don't think the San Dimas location has got it together and I'm very...
