De-li-cious! I moved to the area not long ago and missed the ease to find good Mexican food that Pomona provided. Visited Las Palmas on a Sunday afternoon, place was busy but not overly crowded. I was promptly greeted by a server and asked what I wanted to drink. I ordered a michelada with Pacifico. Shortly thereafter I was brought over a plate of chips and a bowl of salsa both which were tasty. The chips were nice and crunchy with salt to perfection, the salsa had a nice kick to it. I ordered a bowl of menudo with hominy and no pata (beef foot). I honestly didn't know what to expect from the bowl but there are a few meals that define if the menu will be a hit, menudo is one of those. The bowl was well served and so good! The michelada was also delicious. Im so glad I found my local Mexican food spot. Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed.

We were pleasantly surprised to find a good Mexican restaurant in San dimas, we had come up short several times already. The beans and rice tasted home made and most places no longer put that effort into those details. We went for breakfast and it was not packed, noticed they have a nice beer selection but skipped it since it was early, we will come back for the food and drinks. The menudo was pretty good, the waitress did not offer PATA for my husband's order but did to another patron and he was bummed about that since that's the part he loves the most. Nevertheless the chilaquiles were tasty and this will probably be out future spot for Sunday breakfast. The portions are typical of a Mexican restaurant.

You won't walk out of Las Palmas Mexican restaurant hungry. Their portions are huge. The chicken fajitas could easily serve two people. They came out sizzling hot and were accompanied with beans and tortillas. They could have used some pico de gallo, guacamole and/or sour cream. The albóndigas soup was served with onions, cilantro and tortillas, but a side of rice would have been nice. The chicken enchiladas with green sauce was served with rice and beans, but could have used less cheese (preference). Service was good and the place was clean too.

We went there two nights in a row since we were staying close by after having to evacuate because of the Eaton Fire. Food was outstanding and the portions were generous.

That being said, when the bill came I paid with a $100 (total was $46.30). The waitress then came back with $52 in change and really quickly walked off. I am talking so quickly I didn't even have a chance to say thank you for the service quick. She then ignored us as I waited there because I needed a receipt to turn in to my insurance company for meals during the mandatory evacuation. I finally flagged down another server and asked for receipt for my insurance but also because it was incorrect change. (This whole time our waitress was ignoring us). I then told the waitress who helped us that the change was wrong and she sent our waitress over.

Our waitress came over and didn't even say anything and just took the money and came back with $53 (no coin change). At this point I was more annoyed than anything and said "this still isn't correct" to which point she said "it's .70 cents do you really need your change?". I then asked for my $.70 cents and she said "we don't have any change".

Again, excellent food, and I really enjoyed watching the game but cmon. Just hoping management sees this and trains/equips...

Las Palmas is a good, clean, cozy place. Service is quick, courteous. I went in wanting red enchiladas, but ordered the Fiesta enchiladas which are green. The enchiladas had cheese, squash and corn. The plate came with beans and rice. Everything was very good, seasoned well & was NOT greasy. I didn't like the corn tortillas that they use. I think most Mexican restaurants use this thick corn tortillas that I don't like. I prefer the thinner corn tortillas. There was a bit too much lemon juice in the rice and it went into the enchiladas. I would have liked NO lemon on my rice nor on my enchiladas. The beans were excellent, the rice was good. The coffee was excellent. The coffee had a hint of cinnamon, like cafe de olla. The salsa that came with the chips was excellent also. Everything was fresh tasting. There was a bit too much floor cleaner fragrance which was somewhat overpowering, but that's better than the opposite. Overall, it's a good place & I will...

Should have walked right out. All the tables were dirty. We had to wait for them to clear and clean a table, it then smelled like a moldy wet rag. They brought greasy burnt chips to our table. We ordered and after 30 minutes waiting for cheese enchiladas and a bean and cheese burrito I finally looked up at the counter under the heat lamp i saw what appeared to be our food. I saw my waitress go to the counter. I thought she was going to bring it , but instead she took a small cup to another table. She then proceeded to take a very large tables order which took longer than ten minutes. So my husband got up and asked one of the 3 other workers who were just standing around if that was ours and we could have our food. A guy brought it to our table it was room temperature at best. I said it's not even hot he said yes it is. He asked if I wanted him to microwave it. Umbrella no gross I walked out and left the nasty cold food...
