Fantastic store for people who need supplies that are good quality. I've been going to michaels for all my needs but recently I ran into the issue of creating a mold for a clay sculpture. Michaels had a mold but it was a quarter the size of a peanut butter jar. So I researched on google rubber molds and found the company Smooth-On. On their website I found a distributor Douglas and Sturgess in SF. So I made the trip to SF and was greeted by Esma (forgive me if I mispelled your name.) She was VERY knowledgeable and helpful with what I needed. She pointed me in the right direction and I left with EVERYTHING I could ever need for my project, I will be using this company for ALL my needs going forward. They have everything a artist needs, sorry no more Michael's Douglas & Sturgess all the way! THANK YOU, it's very easy to get to right...

What can I say this place is AWESOME! c'mon it has a mold of vincent prices face on the wall😂, they are helpful with all your resuming mold making fibre glassing and special effects art, paint,and experimental practices. I swear by there 2 part epoxy resin and it's also forgiving my measurements have been off and still cured solidly...I even went over another resined piece that didn't cure...and douglas and sturgess resin cured...

I'm very new to mold making and casting, but the staff here was extremely kind and helpful in getting me up to speed. They have everything you could want and an amazing space with a workspace and demo pieces you can look at for all their materials that you can touch and feel to get a sense as to the best thing for your project!
