Eating Like a Local in San Francisco Recently, I visited San Francisco to see my bestie who had just had a baby. We stayed at her place and spent our days running around the city with her two-month-old, eating and drinking our way through it, which was quite the adventure! 🙈 I won't bore you with the usual tourist spots and museums. Instead, here are a few food and drink spots from my trip that I'd definitely revisit. Oh, and since I'm a total wine lover, Napa Valley deserves a separate mention! 😌 **Pic 1:** A Spanish restaurant in Sonoma. Perfect for our Chinese palates, the tapas paired beautifully with wine. The orange pot contains lamb stew, and my friend and I were practically cheering while eating it! **Pic 2:** A pancake house that's been around since the 1950s. Authentic American breakfast with no holds barred on calories. The fried chicken was a revelation—apparently, they add cream to the flour before frying! 😱 Pair it with a pancake, and you'll feel the ultimate sense of freedom, haha! **Pic 3:** This place is right next to Stanford University, winning with its vibe and architecture. You can also check out the nearby Stanford Shopping Center; it's got a great environment and a decent range of brands, including Hermès. **Pic 4:** A small music festival in the park on weekends. My friend and I set up a tent with our kids and just enjoyed the food and drinks. It's super relaxing and happens almost every weekend. Highly recommended for travelers to experience a slice of local life; just visiting tourist spots can get boring. **Pic 5:** A massive liquor store. I was there for hours! 😌 Though they had a bit fewer champagne brands... **Pic 6:** A seafood shack near the airport. You can buy fresh oysters, mussels, and lobster to cook at home. The prices are reasonable, and I love oysters with white mustard and the bread with salad in the lobster set—perfect for pairing with wine! 😌 **Pic 7:** A Mexican food truck near my friend's place. Beef tongue tacos with Mexican-made Coca-Cola—just the right amount of deliciousness to fill a gap! **Pic 8:** A chocolate shop with a wide variety of chocolates from different origins. They even offer chocolate-making classes! **Pic 9:** My "hot pot stomach" craves it wherever I go. This place is near my friend's house, and the oil sauce is quite authentic. I wish the broth was spicier, but the beef tendon balls are a must-try! Pair them with beer—mmm! Writing this now and reminiscing about all that delicious food is killing me... #SanFrancisco #SanFranciscoFood #FoodAndWine

Food and service make up for the atmosphere but what can you expect on a corner lot across from the Hall of Justice in a not so great part of town but what the heck it's San Francisco! We walked up about 10 minutes after noon which was perfect and ordered small carne asada y super el pastor burritos along with the ice cold topo chico. The Meat, Rice, Beans sour cream salsa and more loaded to the max was flavorful and fresh. As I said we got there at the perfect time because just 10 minutes later lots of people showed up and formed a quiet line awaiting to give their order. As you can see from the photo there is actually three chairs and one table so that's another reason to get there before the crowd!...."Buen provecho"

Tasty tacos, great service, and fair pricing make this a taco truck worth visiting. The tacos here are full of flavor. The meats are tender and seasoned well. I was greeted when I walked up. The employee had a nice attitude. I paid about $11 for two tacos, tortilla chips, salsa, and a bottle of water, which was about what I expected. There was a nice variety of drinks if you want something that's not water. I came here about half an hour before closing and they were out of rice and only had four meats left. There isn't seating, but if you walk two blocks on Harriet St. towards the freeway, there's a park with plenty of benches and tables.

I forgot to share my experience. We ordered 14 tacos. Chips and guac and a coke. The total was over $50! When we got to our office •! There was 13 tacos. One staff are 3 tacos instead of 4!

What didn’t make sense is that the office had ordered 6 tacos three days ago and a drink for myself. No one else had a drink and we opened up our food and there was 5 tacos so one of my Co workers ate one tacos. The bill was $15 even.

shorted twice in week is bad.

But that is not the full story

Each time we go, we can’t figure out how they charge. It is never consistent. One day 6 tacos ordered and one drink is $15! Another day 14 tacos, guacamole and w drinks is over $50.

My co worker says sometimes 2 tacos and a coke is $8 and other times 2 tacos and a drink is $11!

I just don’t understand this taco truck!

Where are...
