Oke Poke in Walnut Creek is my favorite poke spot in the Bay Area, so I visited the San Francisco location with high expectations. However, I was disappointed to find it tucked away in a ghost kitchen, deep in an alley, surrounded by motorcyclists waiting for Uber Eats orders. As the only woman in sight, I didn’t feel safe waiting for my food, and the atmosphere was nothing like the Walnut Creek location.
Additionally, the prices are higher here, but the portions are much smaller compared to Walnut Creek, where they’re usually very generous. Overall, this location didn’t live up to the hype set by its sister location. I won’t be returning due to concerns about safety and the poor...

Read moreI am a huge sushi/poke enthusiast, and this place's fish was borderline spoiled. I ate a half portion and got a massive headache and had to lie down and drink water. I kept the other half bowl in the fridge so I can eat it for the next meal. After about 8 hours of storing in a cold fridge, the poke started smelling completely spoiled. I always eat leftover sushi/poke with no problem, even storing it a few more hours longer. But this place must've used "almost expired" fish. I've tried all local poke places, but this place is by...
