I want to propose to my girlfriend and lock her down. I'm completely out of my element and I have no idea what to look for. Bonnie was the nice lady who helped me out with decisions breaking down the choices and such. Here follows the short conversation of how to get started.
"Hi," I said, awkwardly, " I'm looking to propose to my girlfriend." "Okay" Bonnie said, "Good, you're in the right place." "I'm sorry, but I have no idea what I'm doing." "Well, you're going to need to start by buying a engagement ring." She said with an inviting smile. "Do you know what you want?" "No." "Well come over and let me ask a few questions about her!"
She asked me a metric ton of questions about my girlfriend. Things like what she did for a living, personality, My budget, as well as a picture of her and the like. Bonnie narrowed it down to 3 types of diamonds, 3 types of rings and size.
"Now just pick the one you like the most." Bonnie said while handing me the diamonds and the magnifying eyepiece.
She explained what to look for as far as the clarity, cut and color.
Lastly, she said pick the one you like the most, the one that speaks out to me the most.
And so I made my selections, paid the work order and went back the next week to pick up my ring.
When i picked it up, I didn't even recognize it. It was sooo beautiful. Shined, bright....bright like a diamond.
Safe to say my "Fiance" loved it!
Too Long; Didn't read version: Went to get a ring, got the ring, got the girl....
Read moreI came to Giraux not exactly on purpose. I had made a purchase online for an engagement ring (looking back, not sure I would make that decision again, but these things are emotional and not always rational), and the band was of poor quality and needed donor surgery ASAP, as I had already given the ring before I realized it wasn't right.
When I came to Giraux, there was a miscommunication and I was ready to walk away, embarrassed for my initial purchase mistake. The owner, Sarkis, saw what was happening and rushed to make things right and sit me down for a consultation. I worked with the designer Skylar, who essentially redesigned the whole ring based on the concept of the original one, but giving more security and beauty to it.
After sending 3D renders and wax molds (which I was able to share with my Fiancee), they moved with extreme speed to get it ready for her. She was blown away with the custom craftsmanship displayed in the metalwork and design rationale about why it should feature a taper, change the diamond's location, and many other small details I never would have considered. Furthermore, the price of the ring was exactly what I was quoted during the first consultation. I felt like they had my back during a stressful situation and really delivered a beautiful and durable work of art. My Fiancee loved it.
We will be going back for our next...
Read moreGiraux is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING in so many different ways. They have the best customer service and beautiful jewelry.
I had the pleasure of working with Sarkis S. and Skylar B. I just have to say what an amazing and wonderful experience. Both of them went above and beyond in helping me find the best ring. Even though I ended up getting the diamond from somewhere else and purchased the ring from Giraux, they took care of me from the beginning to the end. I don’t have any other words but to say THANK YOU for making this special event so amazing. My Fiancé absolutely loves her ring and that is thanks to Giraux and a special thanks to Sarkis and Skylar for having to answer all my questions. I will absolutely be going back for our bands and all my jewelry shopping.
Sarkis and Skylar actually care about their clients and want to make sure to take care of each person. They are the definition of what a good customer service should look like. They will listen to you, spend time, follow up, and make sure they provide you with exactly what you...
