We went to Steve Padis for the Tacori trunk show as part of their anniversary celebration and we were considering our future upgrades for our 10 yrs anniversary.
I felt overwhelmed with so many people surrounding the Tacori showing and almost wanted to give up. Luckily Anne was tentative to me even though I had suggested I didn’t need help with “we are just browsing.” She was kind enough to follow up with who sent me the flyer and she will let them know to come and help. That demonstrated teamwork and customer experience so I appreciated that. Because of the attention to me, I ended up sitting down and that made it all a difference. When I came back for further consultation, another staff helped Anne with resolving my question. It’s this teamwork that I value and they are very friendly people, not on commission.
We didn’t plan to buy anything in that day but we left really happy with the exact upgrade I wanted due to their Tacori trade-in policy and the additional discount Steve Padis gave on the two carats as part of their anniversary celebration.
Anne introduced us to Forevermark diamond bc I told her it was absolutely important to have the most fire and ice sparkle. I’m not a designer person when it comes to diamond bc I believe we can achieve the same goal without paying for designer advertising fees. However, I do love Anne’s love for diamond and Forevermark and stayed open to the journey. I compared the price against James Allen online and it was dead on price point but Steve Padis gave us additional discount as a celebration of their anniversary sale!!
I am grateful for recording the education lesson w Anne on colors and inclusion as I refer to it often. what really wow me was when I can see how pure the transparency and the perfect circle was on the Forevernark compared against a GIA triple excellent although the goal was showing colorless against near colorless. It is this clear difference thAt made me believe there is something special to the Forevermark.
Too bad I cannot uploaded pictures of my upgrade ring but it’s absolutely on fire and ice like I desire. Light is life so it’s absolutely critical my diamond plays well in this arena. My sister too a quick look at the ring and said “it looks like something king and queen would wear.” I responded, “its the RoyalT collection from Tacori!” —talking about success in design when someone can described in the same way it was meant to experience. My RoyalT & Forevermark ring is symbolic of how my husband has rewritten my star and turning me into a princess (no more daily ramen noodles...
Read moreI am writing to tell you what a great experience I have had with Jess and Steve Padis Jewelry since 2018 and my A. Jaffe custom diamond ring. I initially chose Steve Padis Jewelry because they are listed as an authorized dealer and from their great Yelp reviews. From the start Jess was professional, personable and knowledgeable. If there was ever a question he couldn't answer he got the answer for me.
Last year during the pandemic I contacted Jess and told him that I was dissatisfied with the design of the setting because the design did not allow anything to get beneath the diamond in order to clean it. As background, the year before Jess had previously given the ring a thorough cleaning, which took quite a while because the dirt was trapped underneath the diamond. I knew that I would either have to always get it professionally cleaned or live with a dirty diamond (it's emerald cut so pretty obvious). Jess contacted A. Jaffe with my concerns, and this year, after feeling safer to venture to the City, I brought in the ring to start the process. I felt very safe leaving my diamond at the store as Jess told me it would be kept safely in their vault. Jess had me look at the GIA number while he read it off, and then assured me my diamond would be locked in your store's vault. That was very reassuring.
A. Jaffe did CAD examples of a proposed fix and another option for a different basket. I took a bit of time to decide (I couldn't decide but wanted it to be the right decision), and Jess (and A. Jaffe) followed up politely. Jess also always let me know when he would be out of/back in the office so I would know when I could expect a response. From the time I made my decision to completion was only about a month. When Jess informed me the ring was in, it had already been mounted, and all I had to do was pick it up. The experience was painless and the fixed setting is amazing! Jess even gave me a jar of Steve Padis jewelry cleaner. :)
Clearly Steve Padis Jewelry is very customer focused with quality service, and my thanks goes to Steve Padis for their great policies, trustworthiness, to Jess for his outstanding service, and to A. Jaffe for standing by their work and redoing my setting....
Read moreMy fiancé and I wandered into Padis while in the Diamond Exchange in SF looking for an engagement ring and we’re so glad we did. Prior to visiting, we did not have a great experience at Brilliant Earth and other jewelers, where we felt like they either had no time for us or were just out to make a sale. Not once did we feel this way during our time at Padis. Every time we came into the showroom, we were greeted warmly and offered refreshments by their members of staff. Whether it was an appointment or drop-in visit, we were given attention or space to browse in whatever way we wished.
On our first visit, Erik greeted us immediately, and when we mentioned that we were interested in blue diamonds he just so happened to have one in the display case that we approached. We inquired about a specific type of stone—a pear-shaped blue Diamond made with HPHT process—and were provided a quote with one of their suppliers in 5 mins. Within a week we returned to view 2 different stones for consideration and browsed nearly every display to find the perfect setting. Padis carries many jewelry brands in addition to their own (even offering custom work), but the fine detailing on the Tacori bands stood out the most. In the end we selected a Tacori setting for the engagement ring and discovered there’s a reason Padis has such a wide selection of Tacori bands to browse—they’re a Tacori Blue Diamond partner, their highest tier. What an apt title, because we ended up going for a blue diamond in one of their settings.
Within 3 weeks our setting was completed and ring ready for pick-up. The ring is stunning and we’re so thankful to Erik & all the behind-the-scenes work of the Padis family to make this possible! Throughout our entire engagement ring purchasing journey Erik was extremely helpful, texting us updates about when the diamonds, settings, etc. would be available in store for viewing. Currently he’s even helping us with the appraisal process for our ring so we can get the ball rolling with insurance coverage.
We had a wonderful experience at Padis and highly recommend them to anyone looking for an engagement ring or other...
