After some encouragement from a few friends, I took my first yoga class over 11 years ago at the age of 42, a beginners class at the YMCA, and followed it up with a couple of classes at different places around the city. It was very difficult in the beginning with my age and lack of flexibility, but I was intrigued by the practice and how energized it made me feel.
When Natasha opened Glow Yoga right across the street from my office, I jumped at the opportunity to start taking lunch time classes regularly. What first struck me about the Glow studio was the size, it was much more intimate and inviting than the previous studios I experienced, which were giant rooms with 80 - 100 people, making it very difficult to see and connect with the instructor. The space at Glow maxes out at around 25, so I was pleasantly surprised to only be a few feet from the teacher, which was incredibly valuable since I still had a lot to learn.
Beyond the benefits of close contact with the teachers, Natasha has created a place with a strong sense of community. You get to know the people on the mats around you, which fosters an uplifting atmosphere where everyone is comfortable and encouraging each other with positive vibes. This positivity all starts with Natasha, who always warmly greets everyone coming into the studio like they are part of her family.
Where Glow really shines are the teachers and the variety of offerings. Over the past 11 years, I have had the pleasure of taking classes from an incredible group of teachers, each with their own focus and style, so that you never feel like you are going through the motions, and you are always being challenged and learning new things. In addition to yoga, there are also a vast array of classes available, including core work, meditation, sound vibration, and massage.
I’m taking a lot of classes right now with Katrina, an amazing person who I would nominate for Yoga Teacher of the Year, if such thing exists. Katrina brings an incredible amount of energy and focus to her classes, always pushing to improve your physical strength and flexibility, while simultaneously slowing down and clearing your mind of all of the distractions that clog our brains in an ever increasing world of external stimulation.
This is why yoga is such an important practice, it strikes the right balance between physical and mental well being, and teaches you to understand what your body is telling you. At my age, strength and flexibility usually start a slow decline, but there’s no doubt that I am much stronger and more flexible then I was over 10 years ago, all thanks to Natasha and the wonderful teachers at Glow Yoga, and I intend to keep ‘Glowing’ as long as...
Read moreGlow Yoga has been my sanctuary for the past five years, offering a truly transformative experience. The studio provides an incredible variety of classes, including yoga, Pilates, barre, strength training, and yin yoga with sound baths. Beyond the classes, their amenities—such as massages, facials, and red light therapy—create a holistic wellness experience that’s second to none.
What truly sets Glow Yoga & Wellness apart is the sense of community. As a San Francisco native, I’ve rarely encountered such a welcoming and uplifting group. Natasha, the heart and soul of this studio, fosters this connection by organizing special events that go beyond the mat. From holiday celebrations to workshops with guest instructors and advanced classes, she continuously inspires personal growth and self-discovery. She even plans group retreats, offering opportunities for spiritual exploration and deeper connections.
I don’t often write reviews, but this one feels essential. Glow Yoga is more than a studio—it’s a shared journey of positivity, support, and transformation. Natasha is a true gem, radiating love, respect, kindness, and generosity. She genuinely cares about each member, always checking in on our well-being and creating an inclusive, glowing atmosphere. This community is a gift, and I’m grateful to...

I have had an unlimited membership at Glow since February 2023 (have attended 12 classes/ month minimum ever since) and I’m not looking back! Not only are the classes the most sustainable workouts I’ve ever completed, but I genuinely feel I have grown so much as a person being apart of Glow’s community.
