Single-screen movie theatre with affordable ticket prices, a small selection of concessions, and a clean bathroom.
I bought a ticket online and the code was scanned by a staff member in the lobby. If you wanted to buy a ticket onsite, you could. There isn't reserved seating and it's an old theatre, so the seats are almost the same level, not stadium-style. Get there early if you want a good seat. Don't worry about missing the beginning of the movie if you're late though; the movie starts 15 minutes after the showtime.
While watching the trailers, I decided to go back out to the lobby to grab some popcorn. It was $7 for a small and $8 for a large. I bought the large size and received a mountain of popcorn. I didn't finish the bag. If you're going with someone, I think a large would be enough for two or three people, more if they're children.
After the movie, I went to the restroom, which can only accommodate one person at a time. The doorway looked wide enough for a wheelchair. It was clean but I noticed an opening in the ceiling. I like the general vibe of the theater. I prefer these smaller movie house places over big theaters. I like the lineup of old movies, great flicks like The Game and The Big Lebowsky. They show new movies as well, saw Oppenheimer last night.
I really want to give this place a 5 star for the vibe, but fix the vent! I'll try coming back when The Game is showing, I've never had a chance to see it...
Read moreThis is my neighborhood theater. I really like it, but they don't show many movies at a given time. The movies they do show often have good variety, ranging from a focus on British films to a James Bond marathon (LOVE!!!) to current films. Sometimes I really don't care for the movie they are playing and it's a long time between visits. The staff is friendly and in spite of being small, you can get standard movie fare. Prices are reasonable (and at least cheaper than reserving seats in advance at the kabuki or a...
