I found Maria when looking for someone to do my makeup for a rather fun but also rather important party. Though I'm comfortable with applying my own makeup, I really wanted to take that pressure off myself for that particular evening and I'm so glad I did!

Booking was very easy - I got in touch with her by email, luckily she was available so I placed my deposit online and we had a brief discussion as to my expectations and booking logistics, sorted very quickly and efficiently.

Maria is very friendly and so easy to be around. It had been a stressful week and my complexion wasn't particularly at its finest, but by the time Maria finished, you couldn't even tell!

I love that she really listened to my preferences but then offered her professional advice in a very non-pressuring way, she offered for me to branch out and have a slightly different colour palette applied than I'd usually opt for, and I'm so glad I did - she was right, that particular colour absolutely made my eyes pop. She even went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable with my lashes (it's been a LONG time since I've worn strip falsies, and it took a while/some tinkering to get them just right), it's so important for her that people walk out of her studio feeling great about themselves and their experience, she's also always checking in for feedback, which is fantastic.

She uses only quality product and applies it expertly, and the end result is very much the best possible you. She doesn't try to alter your looks but actually accentuates your best features. Bottom line: Maria Lee is absolutely amazing.

I had two sessions with her - a trial and the actual wedding makeup. The trial makeup and hair were both stunning and I booked her on the spot. However, I was concerned because her prices are very, very high. Additionally, there are many "extras" that cost money (mandatory gratuity for over 6 services, early start fee, etc - just read your contract). None of these are deal-breakers and they are reasonable requests- but be aware that she is pricey and all of the "extras" are pricey as well.

However --- in retrospect, I would have paid literally double for the quality of her services. When she finished my bridal makeup, I was stunned. I had never...I mean never...looked that good in my life. My fiancee (who's a "man's-man and whom I've never seen have negative emotion other than irritation) started crying when he saw me. My guests said they had never seen me look more beautiful. She literally made my wedding exactly what I wanted it to be. She took a long time to do her hair and makeup on me - but she is a perfectionist and it shows in her work. My fiancee is asking me to get three makeup tutorials with her (I don't do a bad job myself, but it definitely doesn't look like her work). I highly recommend her...
