Disney Store — Local services in San Marcos

Very disappointed on their customer service! I called ahead of time to see what time the store closed because tomorrow is my son’s birthday and he wanted something from the Disney Store. I showed up and there was a line outside (literally 2 families), which I completely understand because of social distancing. Well there was an employee outside (tall white male) whom didn’t even greet. All he said was “are you coming to the Disney store, because of you are l, these are the last people I’m letting in. We close at 7”. Let me remind you, it’s not EVEN SEVEN. His next respond was “I’m sorry, I can’t let you in because it’s taking forever for the customers to come outside”. HOW IS THAT MY PROBLEM!!! At this time there was just one family left to go inside. So I had to tell my son (4 year old) that we couldn’t go inside to buy his present. He was so heart broken because he didn’t understand. He even said “mommy, but I’m wearing my mask”. By the time I walked to the car, 3 families had already paid and walked out. The employee shut the door close. My son knew what he wanted, it was probably going to take me longer to pay then to pick the toy. Next time don’t say you close at 7, if you are not going to let anyone inside. There was an article, a while back now, on the news that most Disney Stores are closing including San Marcos location. We were terribly sad. Since then I've only shopped Disney online. BUT, my Wife's coworker talked to her about this sale on items she likes there, at San Marcos. What?! They didn't close? Wonderful! We went the following morning. To our delight, we saw the Store there and quite open for business! In fact right now is their 'annual twice and year sale' where everything is 25% off marked prices. Delighted we are! And yes, we found a few things we couldn't live without! Nice sale, good selections and the cast members at checkout were efficient and funny with us! We had a great time! Thanks Cast Members! Visited on 8/3/2019 at approx 4pm. The store was crowded, but so was the rest of the outlet mall. I love visiting Disney stores, makes me feel like a kid again! I do wish they would have more plus size shirts available for adults. I'll see o many great shirts and they only go up to a size XXL. I'm just one size away at XXXL. Some other Disney stores do carry the XXXL size and I get some shirts. Prices are high, but not too high. I just wish they would sell the movies too. I used to get ll my Disney movies from the Disney store. I was not greeted upon entering (Again, they were busy) but I was approached by an associate and asked if I needed help today.
