Kudzu and Company — Local services in Sandy Springs

I was really excited to visit this store, but from the moment I walked in I was shocked by the rudeness of the staff. I'm a frequent purchaser in antique stores and markets so I'm accustomed to sales people interested in making a sale. The employees at kudzu seemed like they could care less. They were unable to answer even the basic questions and seemed totally put out. There was a desk I was interested in purchasing and I asked the front desk attendant if Kudzu accepted offers, like many other antique stores, he very rudely told me that Kudzu was "not like the lower end stores you may be familiar" with and that they did not accept offers. I was so surprised by his response that I just nodded and walked away. Guess I won't be buying that desk. With attitude like that I seriously hope this...

We stumbled into this gorgeous store on a trip from intown to Sandy Springs to visit Cubanos ATL. They are located in the same plaza and while waiting for our sandwiches we decided to visit Kudzu. Stunning furniture, accessories, table books, accessories and more. A cute alcove housed an extensive collection of Lafco NY goodies. The chandeliers well that's another dose of stunning. Best of all the service. We purchased a book for a gift, the awesome specialist first wrapped our book then put it in a bag with tissues and ribbons. That is a lost and much treasured part of customer service and it was so nice to have it again. We will be back and highly recommend a trip to...

While their items are beautiful, the prices seemed high. That wouldn’t have been as much of a problem if the staff had been welcoming. My mother and I came in, granted we didn’t look all done up because I had just moved to the area and she was there helping me paint and fix up my new house. It was a spur of the moment trip as we were in the Sherwin Williams next door getting more paint. Anyways, not once did anyone say hello or ask if we needed help, but they did greet other people who walked in after us. Again, I realize we looked a little rough but feeling like we were being judged by our appearance wasn’t enjoyable. Even though I live close I don’t plan to shop there...
