Authentic Cuban Sandwich in Atlanta 🇨🇺

Authentic Cuban Sandwich in Atlanta 🇨🇺

🙂El Miami: The bread is crunchy yet soft at the same time! The inside is very moist and the roasted pork was not tough to chew on. Portion is fine. The slight disappointment was that the pickle was a bit bland and some people might find the amount of mustard and overall flavor underwhelming, but I would recommend this if you never had a Cuban sandwich before. 😐Cafe Con Leche: This is just a regular coffee with milk. The coffee’s not bad but nothing extraordinary either. It’s pretty much the same as a similar one that you can get in your local Starbucks. I wouldn’t recommend this item. Overall Pros & Cons: there’s only 1 set of tables for seating and there was no sun umbrellas so it was kinda hot for me to eat under the blazing sun. Also for the price of well over $12 a sandwich, I was expecting a bigger portion. The speciality sodas are pretty rare IMO and stood out more than their coffee counterparts but still it boils down to personal preference. I think this is one of the places where you can come for maybe 1-2 times and then that’s about it.

I am happy to see more authentic Cuban places popping up in Atlanta. The traditional cuban sandwich (Miami) was amazing. In my opinion it could have used more mustard, more pickle and a flatter cuban bread - that would make it more in line with what you would get in Miami, or Cuba. But still quite strong. They also coat the outside with lots of butter, which could have been a bit less. The coffee was what put me more towards 4 stars. Its a bit more bitter than traditional cuban coffee (they do not use cafe bustelo, but a similar bean from the same producer), and they do not whipped the sugar like in traditional cuban coffee. You can taste the difference. It's a small little house in a parking lot in the suburbs - so a bit of an odd location and a hike from the city, but they seemed to have a decent lunch crowd. Overall, quite enjoyable, highly recommended, and hope to see them closer to downtown soon.

I have been meaning to drop a review for a while. I was likely busy drinking all the Cafe Con Leche instead of having time for other things. We discovered this gem a couple months back and I have been hooked ever since. Aside from the food being incredible I really appreciate all the safety measures they take to encourage social distancing, face masks etc.

We really enjoy their breakfast menu. The ham and cheese croissant is delicious. It has a sweet glaze on top that makes it to die for. I like the glaze and my daughter likes it without the glaze so it's nice to have both options. The Cuban toast is great to. We love to grab the toast when we are on the go for a quick snack for mom and toddler to split. The coffee is AMAZING. Very authentic, not overly sweet and no burnt flavor like other coffee shops.

Their lunch menu is equally delicious. The sandwiches are huge and I usually have left over. So you definitely get more delicious bang for your buck here! The El Miami is on point. The meat and cheese are so yummy and that bread toasted perfectly so it's crispy on the outside and soft on the inside really makes the sandwich.

While the wait way be a little long I honestly feel like it's worth it for the product you are getting. I would wait longer for a steakhouse steak than I would for a McDonald's hamburger.

Lastly, the staff is awesome. They remember names, orders and they always have kind words and are all in a great mood. It's a breath of fresh air from the food and service at other locations. Especially during these crazy times.

So if you haven't already you definitely need to make time to go check out...

Search no more! No flights to Miami needed to get an authentic 'fix' from Cafecitos down to the three Cuban sandwiches. From the original "El Miami" to the 'El Tampa" (Salami added) and the alternative "El Pollo". All a real treat.

Too hot outside - try the 'iced versions' of all the Coffee - from Colada via Cortadito to Cafe con leche (my favorite). Or try one of their Latin Sodas.

Do not forget to try their Flan - delicious (get one to go if need be, it will not survive for long).

Combine all this with more than great service from Ozzy and his team, easy ordering and never a long wait even when lines look rather long = pure happiness all around!

AND now they are also featuring breakfast. Which you can order online with ease, set a time before you go for pick up and it's ready when you arrive. The Cuban bread is great - the Croissant with ham & cheese is finished with a sweet glaze, and simply incredible.

The Cubano's Atlanta team has meanwhile added three 'open air' tables with umbrellas since their opening, easy to enjoy right on site if your time allows.

Congratulations to a...
