The coffee was okay and the barista was lovely to chat with. The cause this company supports is very worthy and it's wonderful to see a business like this is Sanford. So why two stars? My first choice of drink, one I'd seen on through user photos here on their google page, turned out to be a specialty drink not usually sold. Not the shops fault but still a let down. My second choice, sold out. Either of those things happening would be nothing of note but both in the same visit? Still only a minor annoyance and not too much complain about at this point. My sister wanted to get a berry filled pastry she'd seen on the shop's website. The barista informed us that the picture on the site was a stock photo and they do not actually carry that pastry. A stock photo of an item they don't carry. On a restaurant menu. The thing which people use to decide what they want to order... He sounded like this was not the first time he'd had to say this. He said he'd inform the owner that people do indeed use the menu on their website to make their selections. Poor guy. :( Two starts for the barista and the good cause, zero for having none of what we came in to order.

Palate Coffee Roasters offers a charming ambiance with its outdoor seating area adorned with string lights, creating a cozy atmosphere perfect for relaxing. Inside, the café exudes a welcoming hippie vibe with comfortable couches and booth-like seating. The selection of coffee, teas, and pastries is delightful, and they also sell unique items from various countries, such as Ethiopian and Panama coffee beans to purchase and take home. One standout aspect of Palate Coffee Roasters is their noble mission to end human trafficking. A portion of the profits from every coffee or drink sold goes towards this cause, making your purchase feel even more meaningful. This café is not just about great coffee; it's about making a positive impact. The service was wonderful! The server behind told me she can make a tea with fresh squeezed mango 🄭 which is an off menu item but everyone recommended it. Overall, Palate Coffee Roasters is a lovely spot for a quick drink or snack, perfect for a casual date or a relaxing break. The enjoyable atmosphere and the café's dedication to a worthy cause make it a must-visit.

About a month ago, I went to Palate for coffee and used cream at the condiment bar. I then had food poisoning all night and the following morning. My friend ate and drank the same things I did with the only difference being the cream. Other coffee shops change their carafes every two hours. I'm not sure if Palate has similar standards, but I hope something is done to ensure food safety. I really want to support Palate and its mission, but throwing up for 10+ hours and feeling like my stomach was on fire was a terrible experience. I have had great experiences prior to this one. Volunteers were friendly and the drinks were good. Please let me know when higher food safety standards are practiced. My name is Joshua and I was at Palate on the 21st of last month, for about 3.5 hours in the evening. I did not see them change the carafe in that time period. I ate at home, there were no other stops. The cream in the coffee was the only difference in my day and a friends day.

A Flawless Cup of Joe and Pet-Friendly Charm at Palate Coffee Roasters

Palate Coffee Roasters in Sanford, FL, is a hidden gem for coffee lovers seeking a truly exceptional experience. As I found myself in Sanford for my son's wedding, I stumbled upon this cozy cafƩ and decided to give their featured drink, "Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes)," a try. From the first sip to the last, Palate Coffee Roasters demonstrated their mastery in crafting a flawless cup of coffee. The featured drink, "Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes)," was a delightful blend that struck a perfect balance between sweetness and warmth. The flavors harmonized beautifully, making it an ideal choice for those who appreciate nuanced and sophisticated beverages. It wasn't overly sweet, but rather added a subtle and delightful hint of sweetness to the overall flavor profile.

Additionally, one aspect that truly impressed me about Palate Coffee Roasters was their thoughtfulness towards our furry friends. I had the pleasure of bringing my faithful canine companion, Penny, along for the visit, and to my delight, the cafƩ had a dedicated water station already set up for pets. It was heartwarming to see the staff acknowledge and accommodate the needs of four-legged patrons, further enhancing the welcoming and inclusive atmosphere of the establishment.

Penny was able to stay hydrated and comfortable while I enjoyed my coffee, and it made the experience all the more enjoyable knowing that the cafƩ values the well-being of both their human and canine customers. It's little gestures like this that go a long way in creating a truly pet-friendly and welcoming environment.

I applaud Palate Coffee Roasters for their attention to detail and their commitment to catering to the needs of all their customers, including those with furry companions. It's evident that they prioritize creating an inclusive and enjoyable experience for everyone who walks through their doors.

Overall, my experience at Palate Coffee Roasters was nothing short of outstanding. If you find yourself in Sanford, FL, this coffee shop is an absolute must-visit. Honestly, I believe this could have been a very pleasant experience. The atmosphere was lovely, the clearly fake exposed brick was charming, and the customers there were also very sweet giving me recommendations in line. My biggest issue was the place had to be understaffed for the morning. My sister and I got here around 9:30 in the morning expecting to get a nice iced coffee and chai latte (which was amazing by the way) and walk around the farmers market, as it was a saturday morning. We didn’t get either of those items for 50 minutes, which I promise you is not an exaggeration. There was definitely a line in front of us, though it couldn’t have been more than 15(including the people sitting down because I did look around the store, and count how many people didn’t have any food or drinks multiple times as the line was 20 of these 50 minutes) about six of them being people whose orders hadn’t been taken yet. Now I don’t mean to be stuck up or anything, but I’ve been a barista for about two years now, and it should not take that long to make 15 drinks. Of course there was also some people who got food, but 50 minutes? Now then let me say the girls who were there this morning were so so sweet and obviously apologetic. I think the biggest issue was that they were likely being overwhelmed by online orders as well. What i’m trying to say is while making the schedule account for the fact that it’s a saturday morning and there’s a farmers market a block away. One more thing, my sister ordered an iced latte and got a hot one- which who’s getting a hot coffee in 90 degree whether, but whatever. (Edit: We put it in ice later and the coffee was sour) Honestly we could have asked for an iced one and I’m sure the girls would have made as they did seems super nice, but the girl who handed it to me seemed so stressed that I actually would have felt so so bad asking. Not to mention they were still so behind. So after this wonderful experience the rest of our family had already walked around the farmers market, gotten breakfast, and walked over to join us in waiting for our drinks. (also $1.50 for oat milk is crazy, but i’m also pretty sure they use chobani or whatever it’s called which is super nice and also inflation is crazy so I do get it, but it still...
