Bojangles — Restaurant in Sanford

Quick version: Went on the second day of operation. The staff were very friendly and nice, seem well trained, and the food came out quick and hot without tasting old or reheated. Limited menu but what we did get tasted good, great seasoning on the fries. Tenders were different than other Bojangles locations, but not bad (could have used more seasoning). I think most people would like to hear from Corporate or the owner on the limited menu.

Long version: The staff were great, nothing else to say other than they seem to have a good team. They have a smaller menu selection than other Bojangles that I've been to, but the menu at this location reflects that (aka, they might not have the same items as other Bojangles, but this location is only advertising what they have, which is good).

It would be nice to hear back from corporate or the owner on whether or not this is just temporary (maybe due to some logistics stuff?) or if we should expect the smaller menu to stay. I'm personally happy with the current menu since I'm a big tender guy, but I know many others aren't.

Additionally, the chicken tenders are different than the tenders I've had at other locations, including the older Florida locations in Gainesville and Jacksonville. It tastes and looks very similar to the chicken used by Popeyes; not sure if this is part of the same logistical thing that may be contributing to the limited menu and they're just using a supplier already in the area. I personally like the "original" Bojangles chicken more, and was a bit disappointed to have essentially Popeyes tenders, but they weren't bad or anything.

I might not go as often as if it was the original tenders, but I live close and will probably still go fairly often. It'll be interesting to see if the menu expands in the next few...

This is my 4month update. I wanted to see if anything tapered off since they first opened. I chose to dine in this time. Lobby was clean, I was greeted by Will and Rosemary with a smile. I ordered the chicken biscuit and sweet tea. The staff in the prep area and Will (who was taking my order) genuinely seemed happy to be there. I love spending my hard earned money in establishments where the employees take pride in that company. The biscuits were perfect light crunch as you bite in and then fluffy and warm on the inside. The biscuits never crumbled under the weight of the chicken fillet. The chicken was crispy, well seasoned and moist on the inside. The tea tasted fresh brewed. A straw came with my drink and a few napkins and the hot sauce I requested was there too. (Not like Chkfila that always neglects to put straws and condiments in the bag). As I was eating Will came over to see if all was well...then about ten Minutes later the Manager Jeri was doing her rounds making sure customers were satisfied. After this wonderful experience, I cannot even remember what a chkflla is? Keep in mind they do not have bone in chicken...but their chicken patties, fillets, and tenders are delicious. Worst service I have had anywhere in a long time. I ordered on the mobile app to save time. When I arrived in the drive thru, the lady at the window instructed me to come inside. While inside, it took 5-10 minutes to get anyone's attention. I then proceeded to wait for 30 more minutes while I watched the workers joke around. The place was just about empty and it didn't seem like anyone was working on orders. The few customers who were in the store also had an extremely long wait. All I ordered was a chicken sandwich and fries. After the 30 minute wait I finally received my order, it was wrong. When I explained to the worker that it was not correct, the employees proceeded to laugh at me. There was no sympathy for the long wait. Once the order was corrected, I turned around to leave the store. At this point the lady who was running the drive thru was sitting in the lobby and proceeded to laugh the entire time while I was walking out of the restaurant.
