This place has shared many different business over the last 50 years. But they have never been empty. I have bought birthday cakes for all members of my family at the bakery for 25 years before they closed shop I have shopped at the first floor and basement of the department store many years ago. I always wonder what that basement is being used for now that that store has left. Today, many new stores have opened and no vacant spaces exist. The new look and feel of the center is trendy bars and restaurants. They have nice outdoor dining, with different dining cuisine. You will be able to eat New Orleans style gumbo and shrimp, in house or to go, or oriental meals across the plaza. $15 dollar haircuts and beauty shops with Manny peddies available. Hair supplies and grooming aids. Professional massage with steam bath. Outdoor bar, for that stiff drink before walking down to H and R block to have your wallet removed by the governor. A Jewelry shop with the finest cut glass pretending to be diamonds is at the end of the plaza. Get your eyes checked while you're here. The plaza I'm talking about is in Mira Mesa by Vons. Most of the stores in Mira Mesa have left due to the world's greediest building owners wanting more money and not giving a damn about the people of our community. But that has left this plaza a very important piece of Mira Mesa. Give it your business, we need it. They may have uncountable numbers of products and customers, but there are times when I feel that I am getting in their way. It would help for them to show some interest in our issues which, at that time, was to obtain a new phone answering system. I have been to hundreds of store's that had pharmacists working, This is my first time ever being treated like my problem was their business I asked a question about the product I was having. Not only did the pharmacist listen he answered my question as he disinfected his hands. He came out of his work area and told me to follow him I did he took me directly to get what I needed explained how to apply it and how long I should try using it as being over the counter is not a doctor's diagnosis of the cause of problem I've been having should it not improve he asked me to see my primary doctor.
