I do NOT recommend this boutique ....especially ......for anyone from out of town ! NO REFUNDS .... they give "STORE CREDIT" only .
I tried to return a pair of unworn shoes within24 hours after purchase , because left shoe did not fit securely, but was told unapologetically .....that there is a typed sign by the register and on their receipt stating NO REFUNDS !
A store credit is of NO use to me since i don't live in Sarasota . i was in town for only a few days while staying at a beautiful local hotel. After the negative experience at T. Georgiano's Boutique , i certainly would not go back , again....even if i lived next door
** My reply to the Owners response below :
thank you for your quick response to my review and interest in explaining your side of the story . Every coin has 2 sides .
I wanted to visit your store while in Sarasota , after doing an online search for local shoe merchants. i shared this with you upon entering about 9:45 a.m. ......your receipt shows i checked out at 10:27 a.m. .......so no ........you did not spend hours and hours with me . No , neither you nor your employee verbally explained (warned me) about your NO ReFunds / Store Credit-Only Policy (within 7 days of purchase).
Upon asking for a refund the next morning (at 9:30) ... i was directed to the sign on the counter (approximately 8" x11" framed typed sheet) and then to the bottom of my receipt. MY mistake.....and I have learned my lesson !
i have found the 2 pairs of shoes i purchased at lower prices from multiple well-known retailers who do offer refunds ...both....brick & mortar and online. There is certainly no cap on what you can charge .....again......i strongly suggest that customers do their price checks prior to making a purchase. (p.s. i did not ask for a refund on the expensive shoes.)
True story : 2014 i was traveling , again, to Italy ......staying in Milan. i had looked up shops around Lake Como towns that were well recommended. i was so lucky to have found a wonderful small shop in Bellagio with the most heartfelt reviews . i went there 2 times by train and ferry that trip and found the co-owners and shop to be exactly as described ....... i traveled back in 2016 ......... to shop , again , making 2 visits during that trip by train & ferry just to get to that shop .............same fabulous experience......and ......in 2019 ........i repeated it all over again... during my 3rd trip to Milan . excellent ! when i arrived back in the USA .......i unwrapped my many purchases......and found that 2 had some flaws. i emailed the owner......who immediately offered a refund or to send replacements ! guess what? ...... i received the replacements about 6 weeks later ....... he did not put me through hoops .....with excuses etc. he wanted a satisfied lifetime customer. He made a good one ! all in all.......i have probably purchased about 75 items from him......and will continue to recommend him to everyone i know that travels to northern Italy !
Real Customer service begins in earnest AFTER the "sale" .
i wish you well . your business reviews should offer prospective customers a truthful account of their experience. the taste in my mouth went SOUR after i asked for a refund within 24 hours ......for shoes that were unworn and you knew up front that i lived out of town , etc. the positive sentiments i had when trying shoes on Tuesday evaporated on Wednesday morning .....exactly when Customer Service should have kicked in on...
Read moreI had single-handedly the worst boutique experience of my life when I was in here on October 2nd. I state the date so maybe someone can talk to the incredibly rude employee I interacted with (god forbid that was the owner!) I walked in after seeing a pair of rollerskates that caught my eye. The employee and I made small talk when I mentioned I was looking for a white skirt. She was kind of dismissive and pointed towards the back of the store and said I could look around. I looked for a few moments and said I didn’t see what I was looking for. She had a white skirt at the front of the store and said how about this one? And I said it was a little too athletic for what I was going for. She then flatly said “this skirt isn’t athletic.” I pulled out the item of clothing I was trying to match it with which I had just purchased at a neighboring store. She looks at it and says “a white skirt isn’t going to match that.” I was pretty surprised by that. I said well I think it will. And then said you know what don’t worry about it. Which she replies with “don’t worry I won’t.” There was a bit of back and forth after this but eventually I just walked out of the store. Would NOT recommend...
