Macy's — Local services in Saugus

I would like to say first and foremost the thing one factor making this review a 5 star one is Tania Royster. This place was hectic let me tell you. It is the annual Macy’s Christmas rush! Stuff is on the ground, everyone is packed in the back stage section looking for the best of the post black Friday, pre cyber Monday deals. I am overwhelmed with the things in my arms which keep falling and I am embarrassed by the fact I dropped a makeup pallet three times. But then I see Tania and she laughs it off seeing the embarrassment on my face saying not to worry and that it happens to everyone.

Later on she sees me again with my Mum and she brings me something to hold my stuff in, telling me to tell the check out people that the I wont be purchasing the item and it would be fine. SHE WAS A GOD SENT. She held it open for me and let me put my stuff in so me and my mum could keep shopping.

Finally we were in the backstage checkout line. No joke I stood there for ten minutes. It doesn’t seem like long but it felt it. Then one cashier walked away leaving one poor lady to attend to a full line of 8-12 customers.

Here comes our hero again! Tania saw what was happening. She asked where the other checkout person went and with no hesitation jumped in to help! Maybe it was in my head but I feel like some people cheered we were so happy. Im sure the other cashier was grateful too!

My mum and I are regular Macy’s shopper and we prefer the one in Peabody but we may be coming to Saugus more because of Tania! She is the Christmas Holiday Hero and deserves a raise! If you’re reading this Tania Merry Christmas/Happy holidays to you and...

I purchased a few dresses trying to find the right fit. I returned the ones that didn’t work and kept one I kinda like until I found the right one for my son event. I went tonight to return the one I kinda like as I found a better option and was told I was out of the 30 day window. Dress was in the original package with tags . Customer service said I could have a store credit so I took it as it was there policy and what could I do. when I went to the parking lot my receipt said$53 when I spent $119. I went back inside and the customer service said that’s all they would give me. I called customer service and was told to ship the dress back and when they receive it they will determine credit? I don’t understand there solution how can I ship a dress and hope for a credit for unknown amount. Thank goddess there was a supervisor Christina who was not only very polite empathetic and want returning a used dress several months later this was a new dress . She was able to refund my card and because of this there is still humans in customer service who understand we are not all a policy . I am a mom on a fixed income trying to look nice for my son communion on a budget and don’t have time to shop so I order a few dresses hoping to find a fit. This place is embarrassing. The whole upstairs is borderline destroyed. Just walking around and trying to get through the aisles you have to actually move products out of the way so you can pass through. It looks like a bomb went off in the store. Employees just walking by mounds of stuff on the ground as if it wasn't there. I understand all that stuff was in those places because some shoppers have no decency to actually put stuff back where it belongs but this was insane. When I worked in retail everyone was assigned a section and if we weren't helping a customer, we were putting products back in the right place and cleaning up. If i was the manager of this store I would be cleaning house. I could only imagine how a district manager would react if they come in and saw the store the way it looked. I wouldn't be surprised if something happens and someone gets hurt and they have a lawsuit on there hands. This is the 3rd time I've come here and the store looked bad, but this was on a whole new level of embarrassing. The Burlington Macy's is like a resort compared to this store.
