Ethan Allen — Local services in Savannah

My husband and I downsized from a Victorian and living on 3 floors to a one story 2 bedroom townhome just shy of 1000sf. It was a bit of a culture shock. The antiques and large pieces of furniture we’d lived with previously just would not work in our new home. I gave nearly all of it away, contacted an Ethan Allen’s designer here in Savannah and we began the process. The furniture I purchased ( sectional sofa with several custom pillows, swivel rocker, large ottoman and armoire) are beautiful custom pieces; I couldn’t be happier with the quality and that was what I was after: beautiful, good quality furniture. I got that and my designer was instrumental in helping me put together my style in my living room and den. I could not have done this without Sarah. All of this was ordered in August and was in my home by October, a reasonable time period for custom made furniture. However, I couldn’t give that 5th star because of extensive issues with the soft goods. Draperies were ordered in September or October and were not finally installed until mid February after the wrong size had been delivered for the den and the wrong draperies for the living room had come too, and when the plantation shutters came in, they were not the style I ordered as well and had to be reordered. We were pretty frustrated since we’d hoped to have installation by Thanksgiving when our house would be full of company, but the holidays came and went and no window treatments appeared. Our designer, however, kept us informed along the way, although for the most part much of the soft good issues were beyond her control. That said, it is the end of February and the drapes are up, the shutters are perfect, and the space sings to me, but I cannot recommend purchasing drapes and shutters from Ethan Allen unless you don’t mind paying high end prices (for beautiful stuff) with questionable delivery. My boyfriend, Phillip, and I stumbled upon Ethan Allen while exploring the area, and we couldn't be more pleased with our visit. Kate, who greeted us, was incredibly welcoming, sweet, and genuinely sincere. As a young couple, we were just browsing for things to do, and our experience at Ethan Allen turned out to be a highlight of our day. Kate went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and provided us with excellent assistance throughout our visit. Her genuine kindness made the entire window shopping experience enjoyable. In fact, she stands out as the nicest and most authentic person we've ever encountered in a store. The store itself boasts a fantastic selection, and Kate's expertise and friendly approach made our experience wonderful. The overall aesthetic of the store was beautiful and neat, adding to the pleasant atmosphere. We left feeling grateful for the outstanding customer service and are certain that we'll be back in the future. If you're in the area and looking for a furniture store with a welcoming atmosphere, exceptional staff, a beautifully curated space, and genuine warmth, Ethan Allen is the place to go. Going through a kitchen remodel is not easy and trying to find the perfect table and chairs to go with your wonderful new kitchen is no easy task. However, when I arrived at Ethan Allen in Savannah I was met by Michelle Gordon who listened to me and walked me through their process. I was able to create the perfect table and chairs with gorgeous material. Everything I had imagined in my mind is now in my new kitchen. My husband and I could not be happier with our table and chairs, the quality is beautiful. Michelle was with me every step of the way either follow up via email, text or phone call. We were so happy with their service, we decided to replace our living room sofa and of course worked with Michelle again to purchase the perfect pair. She also worked with me on window treatments. So grateful to Ethan Allen for their quick delivery, great service, wonderful quality and of course a sales person like Michelle who listened and helped me find exactly what I wanted.
