I come to Savannah at least twice a month for work, as well as other cities for work/business. So I stay in my fair share of hotels. No where is perfect but certain brands set certain expectations, especially as far as room cleanliness and service. I’m platinum elite so needless to say I stick with Marriott. Extremely disappointed with this hotel and at this point would not come back. Had double beds, pulled back sheets on one bed and found a “speck” of something on the sheet not sure what it was brushed it off no biggie until I saw what appeared to be a blood stain on the sheets, see attached picture. Made me question the cleanliness of the entire room. Went to the front desk to discretely let the receptionist know, leaned in spoke softly, as there were other people there, showed her the picture and she says” what size sheets? What room number? Ok I’ll have someone come change the sheets” Wow no apology no nothing, very nonchalant and “oh well” body language and demeanor. I will say when the person came to change the sheets she said”eww nasty” and apologized. That was something. Upon further inspection, found what looked like more blood in the bathroom in addition to a dirty shower cap, disgusting 🤮. Went to the desk to ask to speak with the manager who was “gone” but this time the staff member did at least apologize and moved us into another room. I was able to speak with the manager prior to checking out and she listened and was apologetic. I told her that finding blood was very disconcerting and makes a person question the cleanliness of any room in the hotel. I was uncomfortable my entire stay even after we moved rooms. Now as judge Judy would say, l ate the steak so I didn’t ask for a refund but personally I think it should have been offered. The fact that no one else at the hotel, including the manager felt that a guest finding what looked like blood on the bedsheets and in the bathroom warranted a refund of some amount is a no go for me. As guest I shouldn’t have to make an issue and ask for a refund, it should have been offered. So buyer be ware if you choose to stay. Me personally, never again. I’ll go to Hilton first.

Stayed here because other family members were already here and it was in the vicinity of the hospital and since we were here to visit a loved one in the hospital it seemed like the logical choice. Had to switch rooms, twice. The first room the toilet was stopped up and when we went to call the front desk the phone didn’t work. Second room, the AC is a wall unit that failed to keep the room cool so we couldn’t sleep. The bathroom door has swollen and will not shut easily. Didn’t have enough towels for two people either. There was a digital clock beside the bed that went off at 6:00 and woke us both up; who uses digital alarm clocks any more? That’s just another sign of how dated this place is! The water in the shower didn’t drain properly so I was standing in 6 inches of dirty water after my shower. No mirror in the bedroom portion of the room so it made it nearly impossible for us both to get ready at the same time! When we went to check in at 4:00 they were cutting grass and weed eating; who does that at check in time? !?!? There were grass clippings everywhere. My husband had to pick our suitcases up and walk them over the grass and into the door, one by one; it took him 4 trips to get our luggage inside without grass all over them! Landscaping should definitely be finished by 3:00 and cleaned up by 4:00 check-in. The place is very dated and the wall unit AC didn’t help much! i felt like it was 1980 and I was at The Red Roof Inn. Do yourself a favor and find better accommodations than this place and if you can’t, then absolutely refuse room 211!

The lobby is very nice for a 3 star hotel. The hotel as a whole is average and 3 star at best. I would not stay here again. There are way to many options in this part of town to choose a 3 star hotel that charges for parking. If they said it when I booked online, I missed it or I would have never booked. Upon checkout I noticed a $9.00 charge for parking. This is absurd because the customer's ability to park is what enables them to sell and book rooms. It's like the grocery stores in some cities not providing a bag, claiming to help the environment when they are really just saving money. Marriott is taking advantage of their guests and I for one won't tolerate it. If there were other services I might be willing but when there is no free breakfast, the lighting in the mirrored area over the sink is so bad and no woman applying makeup would be happy with the lighting. As a matter of fact I complained about it during checkout and the employee told me that this is a common complaint. This means Marriott is aware but chooses not to do anything. In addition, what hotel doesn't have a full mirror in the room? We are not home but expect to have at least the comfort of home that allows us to see ourselves before going to see family or events. Dang!!! I'm not done. The placement of the television which is large was ridiculous. The dresser is on right side of the bed (parallel). When you are lying in or on the bed you have to lay sideways in order to see the television because it's not in front of you, but on the side of you. Whoever lays on the left has to try and watch television over the person laying next to them. You need to break your neck trying to see the television. The pilIows 2 on each side were flat. Even with 2 it felt like one. Cheap just cheap. We also hate these cheap hotels that have the low toilets. Spend another $1 or $2 and provide a toilet a couple of inches higher. I know anyone, but especially the seniors would appreciate it. Lastly, we went out to get a quick breakfast. We came to the lobby but I refused to pay $6 for coffee (not a fan of Starbucks) and $6 for a bagel. Really Marriott? I'm hurt and surprised at you. You have to do better or Hilton will get our money for now on. We have a large travel group that we are bringing next year and hoped this would be a great option. I don't think so! We do NOT want to be embarrassed....

I recently stayed at your Courtyard Marriott in Savannah GA on 6703 Abercorn Street. My husband and I when we travel always stay at the Courtyard Marriotts. This is by far the worst one we stayed. The service was horrible and all but one of the desk clerks were rude or of no help when asked questions. One of the desk clerk was Felicia. I called down to the desk to ask for Towels and wash cloths and I waited for about 45 minutes. I decided to go down to the desk and get them for myself so I could shower. She was very rude when I asked for them and said she would send someone to my room and next time just call the front desk which I told her I did but never got them. I went back to my room and needless to say we never received them that night. We asked the lady the next morning who was cleaning rooms if we could have some towels and toiletries and she said since we were not on the list of rooms to be cleaned she could not give us any off the cart because it was only stocked for the rooms she was cleaning. We went downstairs at 9 that morning on our way out and told the front desk again that we needed towels and toiletries. Again, we came in about 4 that afternoon and still no towels or toiletries. Another trip down to the front desk which was the 4th time and finally got what we needed. It took us 16 hours to get what we needed. We were told they would comp our parking which on your website when we booked room was supposed to be free anyway. We checked out on Thursday morning and they charged us for parking. I told the lady it was supposed to be taken care of and she tried to fix but ended up charging us another $28 for parking. I told her and once again and she had no clue what to do. She said she would get with manager to fix the issue. There were roaches crawling around in room and like I said earlier this was the worst stay at the Marriott. The employees were...
