Hot Dog Perrones — Local services in Seattle

I'm editing this review a little because the owner responded and I am sympathetic to their operations glitch. Operating a ghost kitchen must come with some unique challenges and I do recognize that. I like how they spoke with their staff to ammend potential further issues. Should they ever get a cart, I might be interested in trying them again. However, I don't believe their current format is sufficient for quality control. Also, yes the hot dog was originally $12.50 but I tipped because I'm not a monster.

I never leave truly bad reviews. Honestly, I feel bad for leaving them. It's hard to run a business and it's hard to cook for one, I know because I run a kitchen. This review is a warning. This hotdog is downright terrible and it was quite nearly $16. Let's just look at that price and despair for a bit. I repeat, it was almost $16. For a hot dog. A seattle dog, to be fair, so let us take a moment to consider the price of cream cheese in this trying time. Now, let's rip the rest of it to shreds. I waited outside this cold landscape of a few ominous lockers. Not a single second passed before my order was ready that I was there to collect it. I was on the ball. It was cold the minute I got it. When I say I was ravenously pacing outside this locker, I mean it. I'm pretty sure the other customers were nervous by the sight of me, tiger in a cage. And, it was cold? The bun could only be described as rubber. It had clearly been microwaved. Probably because it had been previously frozen and who has the inventory to waste on defrosting hotdog buns. My gums hurt from chewing it, so I need to floss more often but that's besides the point. The onions were good. Grilled to perfection. Still cold. The cream cheese? It was cream cheese. I can't complain there, I mean, cream cheese usually is cold and it was. The sausage itself? Good quality, if you like a COLD HOT DOG. Please don't do this...

I ordered the Latin kraken. It was so different than 3 months ago. The sausage was less tasty, the pico de gallo felt less fresh, I think it used to have jalapeño and now they put something like Valentina instead, the bread was also harder to chew.

Very disappointed with whatever happened with this place, they used to have my favorite Latino like hotdogs .

Reading other reviews, it seems like they did go through a change to make them bigger. I think they sacrificed quality with that. I honestly prefer the old hot dogs they had, reasonable sized and not these bigger ones empty of flavor.

Edit: I saw the reply from the owners, and it’s true, I never rated when I got great hot dogs before, so updating my rating to reflect my overall experience with the place, where in the past they were excellent and I only didn’t order more because Uber fees are really high right.

One thing I forgot to mention is that they also changed the waffle fries. They were also really good. I tried the regular ones and didn’t like them as much.

Just ordered a "Latin Kraken Dog." It was really creative and had great flavor. You can tell these people care about what they do, BUT, the size of these hot dogs are simply unacceptable. Tiny, tiny, not even enough to fill a little kid! You'll need at least 2 of them. I'm not sure whether they send them smaller because of the 2 for 1 deal, but it doesn't look like it. Looks like they have really small portions and the prices are crazy! $13 for a hot dog that I can finish in 2 bites is quite disrespectful.
