I moved into the Broadway Building during the first winter of COVID, from just down the street due to looking for an apartment with more storage and at a lower price point. The Broadway Building made my transition very smooth, even during such a tumultuous winter. One of the best things about the building has been the experience with maintenance - my requests are almost always addressed within one day, even requests such as replacing my garbage disposal. Ernie is the best maintenance guy I've ever had, friendly and always makes sure everything is working before he closes my case. I love the gym at the building, it's small but has anything one can need from everything from training to climb a mountain, to getting physical therapy exercises complete. It even has televisions and a water station. Over my time here, the management has only gotten better. From when I lost my key, and Brittany left me a new one, complete with a greeting card, to several fun community events. But the REAL over the top experience that has made me life long thankful to The Broadway Building, was when I was gone over the holiday break and Brittany found out that one of my new kittens was having a critical emergency. Since I was far away off the grid climbing, and his cat sitter didn't have time to bring him to the hospital right away, Brittany and Jasmine took it upon themselves to rescue my kitty from where he was trapped, and even went so far as to bring him to the vet for me. I truly felt like I had no one else to turn to in that moment, and I will be forever grateful that Brittany and Jasmine saved his life. If he hadn't gotten to the vet right away, he wouldn't have made it. Now all three of us are safe and sound in our apartment, with a beautiful view of Rainier! I love that both the building and parking garage have great security, and I always feel safe. There is also a secure package room, and there have been various times I was unable to get a package due to being away from home, and management has offered to bring it up to my apartment. The staff here is so kind and compassionate and always working to make living here a good experience! I have seen various efforts to proactively make the building a better experience, such as when I asked for better notice when elevators were reserved, and started receiving texts about elevator reservations. I highly recommend the...

There are plenty of good and bad things to say when it comes to living in apartments. As an adult we all know there are certain things like noise, cleanliness, and even delivery handling that can make apartment living cringe. The issue with this particular apartment outside of apartment staff signing for packages losing the packages and then LYING about it with no apology, outside of the constant racial harassment by neighbors, it’s the staff that’s majorly an issue.
They are unfriendly and very unprofessional.
I have a personal contact of mine that lives here and he has been intentionally singled out just for simply bringing things to the staffs attention. For example : the neighbor upstairs having nightly parties until 2-3am every complaint was ignored and not hardly even addressed. The constant violent attacks being done ON PROPERTY videos and pictures provided with no action. The staff have searched his apartment MULTIPLE times stating it was for inspection but were going thru his cabinets. How many apartments get 4 inspections in less than 6 months? The manager chooses to ignore all complaints of discomfort with neighbors including the racial slur yelled outside of the door by neighbors.
The manager even escalated it further by yelling and confronting him outside after hours in the parking garage recently. I actually got to stand witness to this and is beyond absurd to me. Being from the South coming to a place that is supposed to be all inclusive to all races and sexual orientations and experiencing the worst level of racism in a place you have to live is ridiculous. The even sadder part is there is no one above the manager to speak with so you are left counting down the days when it will be over for the sake of not ruining credit.
If you are AFRICAN AMERICAN I beg you to search elsewhere. The residents and the staff do not appreciate our presence here . They also edit and suppress negative reviews to make it seem this is a wonderful environment smh
Also the security guard here followed me on MULTIPLE occasions and when confronted said he was told by the office to keep an eye out on us. This place is a nightmare run as far as...

I lived here for about a year, and I sustained permanent injuries from the Broadway building. Not only is this building unsafe because of the location of the apartment (I frequently heard gunshots and felt unsafe walking home), but due to the negligence of the Broadway building, I received a concussion that left me unable to work for three weeks.
The blinds in my apartment were never securely fastened to the wall, and continued to fall down. The maintenance team had fixed them multiple times, but not permanently apparently because they fell again, and they fell on the top of my head and gave me a concussion (they are the old heavy metal ones). I showed the Broadway building the doctors note, but they did nothing. Brittany, the building manager had asked about the three weeks of work I missed (I couldn’t nt even go outside because of my sensitivity to light and sound), at first offering to compensate me in rent for the damage they caused, but ended up never following through. The maintenance team even walked into my apartment unannounced once while they were doing their “investigation”. They gave me no notice, just walked into my apartment.
In the end they Broadway building came to the conclusion that I was at fault for the blinds falling on my head because of “misuse” of the blinds (I don’t know how you misuse blinds so badly that you give yourself a concussion), and that the Broadway building actually fixed the blinds that needed to be repaired before the incident happened (this wasn’t true, or else I wouldn’t have happened in the first place).
In general, maintenance requests were responded to, with temporary fixes. Noise complaints weren’t taken seriously, and nothing was done about them. Safety around the building in general is minimal. I frequently heard gunshots outside of my apartment. Once I got home just after two people were fatally shot.
The Broadway Building may not injure you, but their priorities are clear. They value profit over the livelihood of their residents, and I would highly advise you to look somewhere else when considering a...
