Fantastic Japanese style private karaoke! Make your reservations early, this place is popular & books up quickly especially around the holidays. Private rooms for 1-11, & a party room for a max of 30 - I’ve done it all since they opened. I enjoy singing & their song selection is robust & having control over your queue means max singing time, often leaving me horse the next morning. Karaoke happy hour runs from 4-8 M-Th, 3-7 Fri & Sat, & all day Sun, half off the room & drink specials. Fri & Sat they are open till 4 am There is a moderate selection of snacks, but I usually eat before because the food is underwhelming. Drinks are decent, I usually get a pitcher of beer or happy hour double high balls. The party room is pricey & totally worth it if you have friend who enjoy singing, performing or both. There is a public bar scene with stand up karaoke, but it feels a bit awkward as there is no stage & you have to submit songs behind the desk or at the bar. WARNING you must bring ID with a signature on it, they don’t like passport cards.

Just had my birthday here yesterday (4 Sept 2016). I wanted to do something fun and different and this hit just the right note! I can easily say this was one of the best birthdays I've ever had!

So why only three stars you ask? Well let me begin... making a reservation is easy and difficult at the same time. First of all this establishment is open in the late afternoon and on. Which is understandable since there isn't a lot of people going to Karaoke during the work day.

The con of that is waiting to make a reservation, ask a question, or make changes to your reservation only during those times. Even with this slight annoyance this is not why they only get 3 stars.

I called several times as you can tell to ask questions and make changes. One of the questions was is it ok to bring a cake? And is there a place it may be refrigerated? I also asked if I may come a bit early like 15 minutes to prepare for my guests. I was told yes, yes, and yes. They were even nice enough to provide plates, silverware and a knife for cutting and serving my cake.

They even told me if there was another party in my room I could wait at the bar. I was fine with this as I am not entirely unreasonable.

Soo based off the answer to my questions. I tell my husband let's get there early we can give them the cake to refrigerate and then walk around capitol hill. We get there with a cake that must be refrigerated an hour prior to my reservation which is at 3pm on a Sunday and find out it doesn't open until 3 pm at the time of my reservation.

I feel slightly mislead and misinformed. I should've been told while I was making a reservation that my reservation time was when they open. Soo pretty much as soon as I walked in the door my 'clock' was ticking... very frustrating.

As soon as it hit 3 pm there was at least 7 of is waiting outside. The guy unlocks the door but doesn't bother to ask of we're waiting to come in (Strike one). Then the guys proceeds to check all or ID'S which is understandable bit at the expense of my time in the room (Strike 2)

I ask him about what I was told on the phone about setting up prior to and my cake needing refrigeration. He completely brushed me off as if my complaint didn't matter and said "Well, your should've knocked." (Strike 3, how was I supposed to know that?) If I wasn't already on the 'clock' and preparing for my guests I would've raised more of a fuss about it. But it was my birthday party and I was there to have fun.

They then lead us into the party room, which is very nice. The guy went through about a 2 second intro on how to use the equipment which was frustrating because then we spent a good amount of our time trying to figure out how to use it (Strike 4).

Pros: Our waitress was amazing! She was very attentive to our party and separated or checks. She also did great at preparing the cake.

Song selection was up to date everyone was able to find something they liked.

Great atmosphere in the room and clean bathrooms.

Street parking and paid garage parking nearby.

Even though I had a great experience here; I chalked that up to the people I shared the day with. My family and friends are the best! And they can make anytime a good time. If you want something different I would recommend this place for your party. Although; I personally will not be...

Awful customer experience. This place is fun if you have no reason to work with the staff on any reservation changes or policies. They have a strict cancelation policy, rightly so, however, there reservation I made 2 days before the actual reservation needed to be cancelled due to my party reporting back ill. I called the next day after learning about the recent change and I got no response. I called at least 3 times, then left a message, acknowledging the 24 hour cancelation policy and asking for a call back so I may talk with someone to work something out. Surely there is a timestamp on this rather quick turn around. The representative who called me back at 4:31pm told me that “technically this does violate our strict cancelation policy and I’d have to talk to my manager to see what we can do” after I explained that due to my party being sick, we need to cancel/reschedule. And when I asked if he could check with his manager he reported back that the manager doesn’t show up for another hour. So not only am I given no grace - seeing that it is unrealistic to expect customers with a 4pm reservation to cancel (should they need to) before 24 hours, not have customer service open for any after-hours issues, then not have your establishment open until 4pm - but how is it possible for an establishment to open without a manager onsite, not to mention, they won’t be onsite for another hour and a half. This representative repeatedly reminded me that I knew about this policy, as if to sound defensive. I am asking for your help, not blaming you for your company policy. Just because I had something come up last minute, should not mean that I am held accountable when I’m doing my best to hold up my end of the deal as far as understanding what the strict cancelation policy is. I got a call-back at 4:31pm… you’re telling me that your policy is so strict, you won’t allow a 30 min grace period… so to avoid this - future customers, I highly recommend that you DO NOT book any reservations for this place between 4-5:30pm because not only will you receive biased and inconsiderate customer service, but they will not answer their phone on time should you need to cancel, and there will not be a manager onsite for another...

I had a bad experience at this karaoke, and their customer service needs improvements. I went there on Saturday to enjoy a karaoke session, they were fully booked at the time I wanted so I booked for the next day. They took my CC details, name, and my boyfriends phone number since I don’t live in the US and I didn’t have an US number. Next day when I arrived with him, they asked for ID at the entrance, I provided them with my UK driving license and also my national ID card. They didn’t allow me inside, saying they couldn’t accept this document because of the Washington law… I was not even going to buy alcohol, and I’m over 30, clearly they could see on my ID my age. The whole situation was really frustrating, also they deny me entrance in front of a big crowd that was getting ready to go inside, they made me feel really embarrassed. I have work in customer service, and I would deal with the situation better, like maybe trying to not embarrassed the person in front of other people, and maybe make amends and offer them to rebook for another day.

Definitely, I won’t come again. They ruined my evening and honestly, now reading the reviews, you guys should advertise this information in your website, to avoid disappointments and not waste...
