My fiancé and I were looking for a local place to get custom wedding bands. We are in the Ballard area and when we started researching reviews, the highest rated jeweler was WJD jewelry, owned and operated by Wacek Domaradzki. Of course, wedding bands are such a delicate and personal item that you wear every day - hopefully for the rest of your life - so we were careful as we went to meet Wacek and get a quote and design. We called and he met us the same day allowing as much time as we needed to talk about our needs.

Wacek represented the absolute pinnacle of customer service. If you're in the market for a diamond ring (or any ring for that matter), take it from us and don't waste time looking any further. Wacek will take his time to understand what it is your looking for, the timeline you're working with as well as the budget you've set, and get you exactly what you're looking for. Other jewelers quoted more than double what Wacek quoted and needed much more time, and we would have been just a number in line. This was a personal well cared for experience. Outstanding quality diamonds for a very fair price. He truly went above and beyond on more than one occasion to satisfy our requests that changed a few times, and we could not be any happier with the result! Wacek helped us every step of the way with very honest and helpful advice. He also kept his timing promise and delivery promise date (exceeding what he promised) – and that was a pretty exciting phone call for us.

In the end, our wedding rings are simply impeccable. (we bought 2 custom designed wedding bands and had the engagement ring redone). Wacek was responsive, attentive, efficient, kind, professional and an all-around pleasure to work with. We will be posting pics after our wedding - for now it is a surprise! I have spent the past 14 years dreaming of the day I would marry Roman, the love of my life. I had never been filled with so many emotions at one time throughout the designing, casting and final polishing stages of this masterpiece. Ensured all concerns and ideas were felt heard and made us all overwhelmed with happiness. I plan to go back to him any time I want a special piece created or an antique piece touched up and healed.

Wacek is absolutely one of the kindest and most knowledgeable people in the jewelry business. I came in last week to get my engagement ring sized up 1 size. Not only did he do it while I waited, but he didn't want any money for it because he was able to do it so quickly. He spent 15 minutes of his time talking to me about jewelry, what he does, and why he does it. Every other experience with a jeweler I've had before this one has paled in comparison. If you're looking around for a jeweler, go see him first. Then go shop around if you want, but I guarantee you'll probably end up coming back to him. I can't say enough about this kind and knowledgeable soul. -update- My fiancé and I just brought her engagement ring in to have it resized. He told us the era of the diamond and why they cut them that way back then. The difference between White Gold and Irodium plating exactly what he is going to do. Again, he could've shoved our ring in an envelope and told us when it would be ready, but instead he took the time to give us information and make us feel like we were the most important customers that have ever walked...
