Market Street Shoes — Local services in Seattle

I made my first visit to Market Street Shoes yesterday, and I will absolutely be a repeat customer! I felt welcomed and attended to as soon as I walked in. I was surprised and excited to see that the shop also had a wonderfully curated clothing selection! I wear a US women’s 12-14; often, small shops like Market Street Shoes won’t have options for me. There ended up being plenty of colorful, fun garments for me to try on!

When Kelsey saw I had my hands full of clothes, she was quick to start a dressing room while I kept browsing. After I’d been in the room for about 5-7 minutes, Danelle came over and asked how I was doing. I was trying on a dress that made me feel so beautiful. When I showed Danelle what I was trying on, she gave me a big smile and said, ‘I can tell you something looks great, but it really matters how you feel in it, and I can tell you feel really good. It looks made for you.’ When I was finished with clothes, a third shop attendant (who’s name I didn’t get, but she was wearing a wonderful 80s-inspired neon-punk jacket and awesome red triangle earrings) offered to keep the dress behind the counter while I kept shopping.

Danelle continued to help me as I started to look at shoes. She was knowledgeable, kind, and gave me great options for the footwear needs I communicated with her! She also helped me figure out that, lo and behold, the reason I’ve been having foot pain is because I’ve been wearing the wrong shoe size! I have a wide toe box and have been compensating for that by sizing up at shoe stores. Danelle heat-widened a pair of adorable leather orange sandals for me. She was super quick when grabbing my size options from the back, and communicated with her team when the LAST pair of a shoe in my size was playing hard to get in the stockroom. It was great to see the team members supporting each other when the shop had a steady amount of traffic soon after opening!

I ended up getting three new pairs of shoes. I started breaking in a pair yesterday, and my feet are already feeling so much happier! When checking out, Danelle made sure to get my basic info to start tracking by purchase history. She also let me know that after getting 12 full-price items, I get 25% off! After chatting with me at the counter while bagging my shoes and tissue-paper-wrapped dress, Danelle gave me a very warm farewell.

I likely would’ve been a repeat customer because of the clothes and shoes, but I will DEFINITELY be returning because of the wonderful experience I had with Danelle and the rest of the Market Street Shoes staff. Hello, friends! I have some delicious gossip to share with you. I know it might make me appear as highly judgmental. I'm from the era of 'See Something Say Something'.

I limped into Market Street Shoes yesterday with a loved and trusted friend not knowing the magic was soon to begin, starting with PARKING! I was already feeling like a burden because I didn't know how to pick the right shoes that offered me the most style and comfort but mostly would encourage me to enjoy my daily walks.

Along came Kat! I havent met such a advanced listener in years. I heard them respond to customers with their loving heart. Kat wasn't selling shoes they were granting wishes! Soon it was my turn to put Kat to the test. I've NEVER tried on so many shoes in one sitting, ever!

Kat listened intently without informing me that the store was about to close. They just wanted to help me enjoy my walks. That was it. Without manipulating a sale they opened the gates to The Ballard Locks. It only took about 30 ( not exaggerating) to try on critiqe and prance around. Finally my magic slippers appeared and the Yellow Brick Road beckoned. Today Im walking all over Pike Place Market out in the sun incredibly grateful for Kat and their unending service To The Emerald City. Go see Kat, walk in pure Gratitude!...

I cannot recommend this store in any stronger terms!!! Their service, in my experience, has been nothing shy of outstanding. The staff is knowledgeable with regards to their products and are very kind and courteous in their efforts to fit you with the right pair of shoes. One of the biggest qualities that I found admirable in the service there was patience. They understand that purchasing quality shoes can be an expensive decision financially, making no effort to rush your decision or pressure you into purchases. They simply want to fit you with the right pair of shoes. Their willingness to listen to your thoughts and questions about their products makes it a very relaxed shopping experience.
