My experience with this store quickly changed when I questioned their markup. After working through a few projects with the owner, here are a few key takeaways: I was unexpectedly charged $14,500 for the owner to be present for 8 hours of a whole home set up. This charge was not discussed in advance but a lovely surprise after purchasing a home full of already marked up furniture from them. (With a 3% adder if I'd like to pay by credit card.) We were charged for foundations on mattresses that were never delivered. When I asked about those, I was told they were a wash with the movers fee for install. Then I was also charged for the movers fee. An order was placed for furniture to be delivered to Texas. Only after accepting the order and payment made was I informed that the vendor wouldn't ship to TX but not to worry, she was going to deliver it to me herself. Feeling bad for her at the time, I told the owner I never would have placed the order if I knew she'd have to go so far out of her way and I felt terrible. Fast forward to me questioning markup on items for a different project and stating that I wasn't comfortable being pushed to order furniture 9 months before our house was going to be ready, I told her I did not want to continue working together. She then entered our home in Sedona without permission and left thousands of dollars of furniture in the garage that were meant to be in Texas. Cc Gilmore and I have been working together harmoniously on a large home renovation project for the past few moths. The expectations from both parties were made clear from the onset. There is absolutely no way I would meet the completion date if Cc weren't in the scene. For the past few months, she has dillegently inspected the project two times a week to report on progress (I'm out of state). She is also working directly with my contractor in order to keep the work on task. I have worked in design and decor in the past and I am aware of the very small and large details that go into home renovations. It's a LOT of work! Cc has made multiple 2 hour trips (one-way) to Phoenix on my behalf, and let's call it like it is, it's dang hot there! I am thankful for this. Cc is a joyful person by nature and she is very good at what she does. I am reaping the rewards of all of her previous experience, and talent in the arena of design. Though this project isn't finished yet, we are on track with completion timing. CC is beyond amazing! She helped us completely design and decorate our new home. Her style is both impeccable and also very functional for our family with young children. She has a wonderful ability to listen to what style we wanted and provide options for what might work in the space. She was very thoughtful in selection of fabric that can handle “life” with a family and pets. CC is very responsive and attentive to EVERY detail. As we were out of town for most of the process, she handled every aspect of setting up our house. When we arrived for the first time we were absolutely amazed how she transformed our once empty house into a fully-functioning home.
