I rented an apartment from these people for mine and my wifeâs 5 year wedding anniversary. From day 1 I stressed the importance of this trip, how vital it is that itâs an amazing unforgettable experience and couldnât have been more clear. Victoria and Cameron claim they sent 4 people over (after first claiming that they sent 3, now that the reviews are coming theyâre saying they sent more people) to the apartment to attempt to get rid of a disgusting rancid smell that was coming from a trash bag in the closet that THEY neglected to remove from the property before we checked in. The smell lingered for our entire stay. It smelled like a dumpster in there and we could barely sleep. When we tried to address this with them they landed on âyou must have different sniffersâ as their preferred method of gaslighting to avoid taking responsibility to this negligence as tenants. I have worked in customer service for my entire adult life and the most important thing is to meet your customers where they are at and do whatever you need to do to provide them the best experience possible. Some education for Victoria and Cameron: in this scenario, you would get yourself down there to check it out yourself if your customers were making it this big of a deal, after all you did tell us you were close by for whatever we needed. You donât just tell them that they have âdifferent sniffers.â
Next, a hair dryer nearly exploded in my wifeâs hands. Now we have a faulty electrical issue that couldâve resulted in my wife losing her hand, on this very important, very special trip. No apologies, no remorse or concern, just âwe can deliver a new one tomorrow đ¤ˇââď¸.â Get your electrical checked before putting people at risk, howâs that?
And I wish this was last but it wasnât: the water gave out on the property and it ruined an entire day that we had planned, one of the last days of this once again very special, very important trip. My wife and I had to shower locally at a gym while Victoria and Cameron wasted time sending someone who wasnât a professional to have a look at the problem. Meanwhile, neither of them have yet to show themselves at any point during this disastrous experience. Send everyone else! At this stage, I began asking for a partial refund (about half of the total of what we paid, a little less in fact) and after this disaster of a stay, that is more than reasonable. I also asked that they put us up in a local hotel ONLY if the water issue didnât get resolved (which it did about 4-5 hours later.)
Perhaps the worst part of this entire thing is the demeanor, disrespect, and dishonesty that Victoria and Cameron treat their customers with. Zero regard for how this trip, which I explained to them was extremely special and important, all but fell apart as a result of their horribly kept and maintained living situation. They were dismissive to our issues, nowhere to be found, and worst of all dishonest about the smell and what they did to address it (even though they claim there was nothing to address). As someone who is experienced in customer service, this is the perfect example of who you DONT want to be like and how you DONT want to treat people. Itâs easy to be nice and get good reviews when things go well at your properties. But when there are issues that impact your customerâs experience with you, thatâs when people find out who you really are and Victoria and Cameron told us loud and clear.    Read moreI have never been more excited to write an Airbnb review. I have stayed at 30+ Airbnbs over the last few years. I can honestly say, 1000% - this one was my absolute favorite. This was the first time I walked into a place and thought âOmg! Itâs even better than the photosâ!
The interior design is impeccable. Each night I noticed an additional thoughtful detail I had missed the day before. I found myself taking photos of every inch and corner of this place thinking âthat is EXACTLY what I need in my own homeâ. Itâs absolutely beautiful and SO CLEAN!
The view is STUNNING. Breathtaking even. This was a work / pleasure trip as a solo traveler and during the time that I was stuck at my computer, I would gaze out the window at the otherworldly red rock landscape and feel motivated and focused on my work in the AM in order to escape to adventure and explore in the afternoon.
The private area with the hammock, lounge area and hot tub WITH THE VIEW was to die for.
Beds. Kitchen. Dinging Room. Living room. TVs in every room⌠Perfect and A+++++.
Bathroom / Shower⌠fantastic!

Location⌠I arrived and did not move my car for the first 3 days because there are so many amazing shops, restaurants, and galleries a five minute walk down the street.
In conclusion, this host team did not miss a beat and I appreciate them while I also cannot recommend this place enough. I donât blow smoke in my reviews. This was an unforgettable stay and my favorite Airbnb to date.

   Read moreI have NEVER written a bad review for an Air BnB host, but here goes. This was a special 5 year anniversary trip for my husband and I that was supposed to be relaxing and carefree. First day, we noticed a rancid odor coming from the closet. Discovered it was a bag of soaking wet clothes (NOT ours) and we left it outside, which housekeeping removed. The hosts claim they sent 3 housekeepers to clean the closet, but they only sent 1, and the nauseating smell lingered throughout the trip. Closet was unusable. Then, the hairdryer caught on fire in my hands, was smoking, and was unusable (around 4pm). They sent a replacement... but not until the next day. Finally, after a long hike, the water stopped working in the apartment and we were unable to shower or use the toilet for an entire afternoon. We had to go to a local gym to shower. Instead of sending a professional, the hosts first sent one of their realtors which only prolonged the issue. When we inquired about a partial refund for ALL of these inconveniences, we were told that we were lying about the smell or that "perhaps our sniffers are different" (direct quote). The hosts really pretend to care about you and making your stay great... until something goes wrong. We were completely insulted by their responses and the review they left us in which they said that we were looking for a "free vacation". Glowing reviews from every other host we've stayed with. These hosts seem to only care about money, and not your personal needs....
