Town Fair Tire — Local services in Seekonk

UPDATE: The manager sent me a prepaid visa card to compensate for the steering wheel. I can now wholeheartedly recommend town fair tire seekonk to anyone looking for new tires.

tldr: I’d recommend this place to others. Silver is the man. He hooked me up with good tires at a good price. Professional installation. Very happy with how the car drives with the fresh mounting and alignment. Car came back with minor damage on an already messed up steering wheel. I’d still come back anyway with a steering wheel cover at next service.

The Good: I went in with a specific set of needs for the tires I was looking for. Silver helped me choose the Falken tires that I had mounted. His service with a smile was great, and the tires he recommended to me are great and fit my needs well. They were properly mounted, with proper weight counterbalancing of the tire stem. I’m impressed with that attention to detail. I can feel the difference, my steering wheel doesn’t shake as much anymore. :-) The alignment is good too. I asked for something custom (more camber than stock for handling purposes) and they did what I asked. Good tires, professional mounting, good alignment, good service, fair price*. I am very happy with the tires and will most likely be coming back as I try to kill all tires (you’re a goat if you get the reference).

The bad: My car came back with a small gash at the 12 o’clock position in my steering wheel. While my steering wheel has other damage to it anyway, it still isn’t pleasant getting your car back with more. I’d recommend using a steering wheel cover when taking your car in for service if you care like me. (At least I can use it like a 12 o’clock stripe for racing lines or something lol). If you don’t care then you have more peace. *About the price: It was fair, but make sure to ask for it. The tires that I acquired were listed for $229.00 each. The same tire (brand, model, and size) was listed for $142.90 each online from another retailer. I would have been severely ripped off if I wasn’t offered the price match from Silver. Also, the place is a bit understaffed at times (just like everywhere else right now tbh), and had to wait a bit for initial service when I selected my tires. (This wasn’t that bad for me, but it’s worth mentioning if you’re impatient).

Overall, the experience was positive. I’ll just make sure to mount a steering wheel...

I had a really great experience with Taylor in the Seekonk store and met him some years ago there . I visited a competitor of theirs and they scared me with sticker prices and telling me my tires were junk and I had been there a week earlier for a patch that cost me 51.00 . I immediately thought of Taylor in Seekonk and reached out to him and explained my whole situation and he was so professional and very calming and he assured me that he would be more than happy to explain the options . He assured me that I was in great hands . It was then that I remembered why I loved the store because everyone always appears to be in such a great atmosphere good energy and always helpful . He was very conscious of my budget so he gave me options and we together were able to come up with a solution . He was so knowledgeable breaking everything down so I could better understand him . He’s kind and he’s honest I then told him I had relocated and he said well I’d love to have you come to our store but there seems to be a closer one to you I live in Ashland so he said let me do some phone calls and I’ll get right back to you and he called over to the Natick manager and he called me back and set the appt up and spoke with that manager and had him order them . My point being he didn’t have to do a breakdown like that when he knew I was ultimately going to a different store but he said you will be in great hands with the manager and DJ and I was super impressed . They had my car ready in record time and now I feel safe . Often when things go wrong as managers owners or employees we seem to always hear the bad stories , so I wanted to take the time to tell whoever’s reading this it’s not a cheap expense and they take their time with you . I had a sales business for years and customer service was key . The experience I had with Taylor went above and beyond as did with the management in Natick I’d of hired 10 Taylors if I still had my business A job well done ! Oh and Taylor ? .. Go Pats lol .
