48 HOUR HOME DEPOT WARRANTY ON ALL APPLIANCES!!! ONLY 48 HOURS.
HOME DEPOT ONLY WARRANTIES THEIR APPLIANCES FOR 48 HOURS.
AVOID HOME DEPOT. THEY ONLY WARRANTY THEIR APPLIANCES FOR 48 HOURS.
HOME DEPOT ONLY ACCEPTS RETURNS ON THEIR APPLIANCES WITHIN 48 HOURS.....AFTER 48 HOURS YOU MUST GO THROUGH THE MANUFACTURER FOR A REFUND OR RETURN.
THAT'S RIGHT. IF YOU BUY AN APPLIANCE FROM HOME DEPOT AND FOR ANY REASON DELAY USING OR INSTALLING IT BEYOND 48 HOURS AND IF AFTER THE 48 HOURS PASS YOU DISCOVER THAT YOUR APPLIANCE IS INOPERABLE, THEN YOU CANNOT RETURN IT TO HOME DEPOT. THEY REDUCED THEIR "IN HOUSE" RETURN POLICY TO ONLY 48 HOURS OR 2 DAYS.
SO IF YOU JUST SPENT $1500 ON A NEW APPLIANCE AND IT FAILS AFTER 2 DAYS OF BEING PURCHASED, THEN YOU ARE LEFT HOLDING THE BAG BECAUSE HOME DEPOT NO LONGER OFFERS A DECENT WARRANTY PERIOD.......2 DAYS. YOU MUST BE KIDDING ME. YOU GET A LONGER RETURN PERIOD FOR BUYING TENNIS SHOES, ANY CLOTHING, FOOD, SPORTING GOODS, AUDIO/VIDEO ELECTRONICS, USED ITEMS PURCHASED AT GARAGE SALES, PERISHABLE FOOD, NEW AND USED AUTOMOBILES, GREETING CARDS, POSTAGE STAMPS, FURNITURE.....I'M STOPPING HERE BECAUSE THE LIST OF ITEMS THAT HAVE A GREATER "IN HOUSE" WARRANTY THAN 2 DAYS IS TOO LONG TO INCLUDE IN THIS ARTICLE.
Purchased a Maytag clothes washing machine. It was delivered on March 20th. The unit malfunctioned on the first attempt to do a load of laundry. I referred to the manual to try to identify and troubleshoot the issue, but was unsuccessful.
I unplugged the unit to see if it would reset itself, but again nothing worked.
I contacted Home Depot to coordinate a return/replacement. I was told by the agent at Home Depot that I was ungortunate to have reported the problem after the first 48 hours of delivery because after 48 hours you must go through the manufacturer for any warranty/guarantee to be honored.
I've discussed Home Depot's 48 hour return policy with anyone who is willing to listen to me and without exception their consensus response was "that's very unethical of them, criminally irresponsible".
In short, Home Depot abandons its customers after 48 hours on all of the appliances that it sells. So if you receive your purchase during the workweek you had better postpone your life in order to determine if your new appliance operates properly. If it doesn't, then you shouldn't delay contacting Home Depot about the problem, otherwise, you're doomed to go through the manufacturer for any replacement/repair/warranty/guarantee. After 48 hours Home Depot washes its hands of having any responsibility toward you or the appliance.
Avoid these criminals.
Costco offers a 60 money back guarantee with an option to extend it up to 2 years full money back, no questions asked. Sears still offers a complete 30 day money back guarantee or replacement, customers choice, on all of their appliances. After the 30 day refund period the manufacturer's guarantee kicks in.
Home Depot is irresponsible. Home Depot is criminal. Home Depot is...
Read moreI have been coming to this particular store since 2001, when the employees were mostly older White males. Why is that important? Well, since the arrival of "black n brown," employees, they seem to engage in hyper policing of people who may look similar to them and they're passive aggressively hostile-especially the females.
I'm not a Black American. I've never stolen anything in my life. I am a required Tech and an Army Veteran. I like to read the labels because usually when I come in, I have something in mind to purchase. In fact, I may even purchase something unintended if allowed to browse peacefully. However, having an employee who smells like marijuana pass multiple times inconspicuously conspicuously watching me, or having someone walk up to me while I'm reading a label to ask, "are you finding everything ok?", is annoying. I had that experience today and forgot to grab some bags because I felt rushed. I have never had such an experience in previous years.
Mind you, I have also ordered online so that I may avoid having to walk in and make them uncomfortable, only to have the order remain unfulfilled without a notification OR have to go in and retrieve it.
If they're going to turn a shopping experience into their neighborhood because they're assuming that everyone who has brown skin is of their lineage and prone to steal, maybe they should work in Providence. I'm writing because I realize that bad actors have paved a road of stereotypes but your employees seem to encapsulate everyone into a type based on class is and color. I'm sick of it!

Read moreThe Home Depot in Seekonk, Massachusetts offers an unacceptable experience to its customers. I waited in line to have a key made. The gentleman waiting in front of me asked how many keys I was making, he then told me to go in front of him since I was only have one key made. When I did, an older female employee shouted from 30 feet away..."Hey, he was next!" Then, a male employee began to make my key. He didn't look like he knew what he was doing, the key machine made a noise and then the screen displayed "out of order". The male employee then said, "you broke the machine, your key broke it." I told him it was a standard key and it definitely did not break the key making machine. This house key has been copied at this very Home Depot in the past. He never said he was joking but just continued to stare at me with an angry look. I then drove to Lowe's and used the key copy machine self-service kiosk and was able to easily make a copy of my key in a couple of minutes. I understand there is a worker shortage, but what a nasty set of employees at Home Depot. This was a small purchase, but I have spent several thousands at that very Home Depot over the years. I have no intention of every shopping there...
