Stop & Shop — Local services in Shelton

I do instacart there all summer- 4-5x daily @ S & S, among all the other stores. The employees here are exceptional! They always have the answers and are very hard working and wonderful to deal with. I hope mngt acknowledges the real stars they employ… However, I always self ckout. If I could, I’d rate those registers -1. They are awful. Every time, I’m reprimand for the following (by the self Ck patronizer): •Moving bags around in bagging area •Not bagging fast enough •Removing bags due to no room •Placing scanned items improperly on bagging area And last but the worst ever reprimand: **Not removing your bagged groceries fast enough. Makes me understand the feeling of a hen pecked husband, even tho I was a wife! She doesn’t quit.. Those self ckouts are the worst of all the stores in the area. I’m an authority on that. Stop and Shop Shelton last two visits the credit card reader rejects my AAA VISA CARD. I USED THE SAME CARD IN STOP AND SHOP FOR 5 YEARS NO PROBLEM. All other places I use the card no problem. Must be a problem with the card reader. Talked to supervision at the store -- no good response --- Tell me my card is no good. I ALSO NOTIFIED BBB IN WRITING. As a good customer for years -- the response from supervision in short GET LOST MY PROBLEM NOT STOP AND SHOP. Asked in other stores and was told the problem is the reader in STOP AND SHOP . Hope to hear that corrective will be taken. I requested a new card with the same number. When I receive the new card I will try it at stop and shop. In the mean time I'm forced to shop other places. Every single week, for the last few years there are common items that aren't stocked at this location. Not sure how the ordering system functions for a grocery store, but I can always find what I need at shop rite across the street. I also attempted several different stop and shop locations in neighboring towns, no inventory shortages there. Just last week I asked for filet mignon at the butchers counter, they said they didn't have any. Couple weeks prior, no salmon, few weeks before that, couldn't find whole chicken roasters. I can continue, but I'm sure you get the point. Also absolutely loving having only 2 registers open during rush hour on a weekday.
