The store itself is great! An amazing variety of things in stock for crafters. The store is bright and clean and the merchandise is presented pretty well. But the employees seem to have an attitude problem. Most are unfriendly and even downright rude, both over the phone and in person. Forget trying to ask for help in-store. I had a paint pen that just would not work no matter what I did to it so I returned it with the receipt. I explained to the cashier (who happened to be a front end manager) what the problem was and she proceeded to take out a piece of paper and tried to make it work in front of me just to try to prove a point I'm guessing. I told her I had done the same thing that she was doing and that this wasn't the first time I had used a paint pen before. When she finally realized I wasn't lying to her because the pen wasn't working for her either she finally processed the refund. Another instance my son grabbed some pre-filled Easter eggs from an area marked with a 40% off sign (all the eggs were in the same area). A relative went to pay for them and explained the area where we had picked them up from while telling her that I showed them where they were from. The cashier replied in a rude tone, "Who is she?" I waved my hand at her to signal that I was the "she" that my relative was talking about and she simply replied, "This is a food item. We don't discount food." Again, in the same rude tone. Then make sure the merchandise you sign as 40% off really is! Finally, another time I was there looking at fabric and I had a question so I asked the lady attending the area. She made me feel like I was bothering her and even annoying her with a simple question. I have asked employees wandering around where certain things were or if they carried an item and just received a short answer and a point in the general direction. Yeah, real helpful. Again, a great store itself but the employees leave a LOT...
Read moreThe store itself is fantastic! There was an amazing variety of crafts to choose from! As for the staff I cannot say the same. I pre-ordered 20 trinkets for my daughters birthday about 3 weeks in advance. When I didn't recieve a call I went into the store to see if they had arrived. The first staff member I approached was a younger (early 20's) male who was extremely rude. When asked who I would speak to if I pre-ordered trinkets he scoffed and said "I dont know what trinkets are" (sarcastically of course) As I was explaining to him that I had ordered small treasure boxes a manager walked up and asked if he could help. He asked how long ago I had ordered the boxes and I told him about a week and a half prior. He told me that they only keep the pre-orders for a week and then put them out on the sales floor. I told him i never recieved a call that they were in and he told me to go check on the shelf to see if they were there. (At this point being a manager I think he should've asked an employee to check the back or to assist me, keep in mind that the store was not busy at this particular time). So i walked back to the area by myself to check and there was only one treasure box on the shelf. By that point I was so upset with my experience that I just left the store. In all honesty I was more upset about the way I was treated by the employee/manager than I was by the fact that they didn't have the boxes I had pre-ordered for my daughters birthday party. Although the store is amazing and I'll definitely go back (hoping not to have the same awful experience) I was dissapointed that a brand new store would treat a customer in such an awful manner. I hope nobody else gets treated so...
Read moreI went in today driving 24 miles to get to the store. Store had very few customers. There was 1 only ONE cashier. I saw one other lady on the floor once. She was helping her find something. I had gone into the store to get assistance to paint T-shirts. There was not a skeleton crew, there was a ghost crew. Invisible. No one anywhere except for a young man about 17 yrs old. He tried to get someone. Unable to he tried himself. What does a 17ys know about shirt painting? He went to try to find someone to help. Returned with a mature gentleman that could have been an assistant manager. He knew not much more about my dilemma. He tried. So at 2pm in the afternoon there was not one person to help a customer. I should have gone to Michael's. This took place in...
