Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Sierra Vista

I paid $40 for a cake because I wanted it to be better looking and better tasting than one I did by myself. I called twice to see if it was ready and got sent to voicemail both times. One of these times was five minutes prior to my pickup time. Five minutes later, I was in an empty store, looking at an employee who hadn't seemed busy for a while. The cake I received was about as ugly as something I've made in the past. The icing was uneven, and the customer wording on it looked like it had been written... well ... By me... and that's a bad thing. It tasted acceptable - but I felt like the only reason I paid more was so that I could make sure I had a red velvet cake. One layer of the red velvet was drier than the other layer, which is confusing. If the cake had been for me, I would have put ice cream on top of a betty crocker cake and been happier. I do find that for the most part, there's something about the chain businesses here that lack consistency with other chains so I'm not extending my critique to every other Cold Stone. I don't know if companies just don't give Sierra Vista branches good stock, or what, but this branch again seems short...

I usually like this place.

However, 2 out of the 3 workers were hanging over the side counter talking and laughing loudly with a group of kids. The group of kids was using foul language very loudly and all the kids, including 2 of the workers, were laughing and encouraging them. One of the workers even went and joined the group of kids at one of the tables. So, I give the 1 star to those 2 workers and their bad reflection on Cold Stone.

However, I give 5 stars to the worker named Jazmyn, that's what was on her name tag, who was doing her job and trying to help customers nicely. She was working quickly, efficiently, and doing everything from taking orders, fixing the orders, and then charging for the orders. She was kind and did a good job of fixing my order to go. She put the ice cream in cups w lids so it wouldn't spill in the car and did the waffle cones separately so they wouldn't get soggy on the way home, see picture. Also, she made sure customers didn't wait too long.

I have been here with my family of 8 multiple times within the last 2 months and I can say this store has quickly become my favorite place to pick up a treat! Each time I have come in I have been greeted by the same young lady, her name is Emelia if I remember correctly. She always makes the experience fun even when she’s dealing with a line of customers all on her own. I have seen this girl finish a line of over 20 people on her own in under 30 minutes, I have seen her handle rude customers in a very mature way, and I have seen her go out of her way to make customers days better. I couldn’t have asked to be helped by anyone else. The ice cream is incredible, the customer service is outstanding, and I am always happy when I go...
