Michaels — Local services in Sierra Vista

Okay I'm really grateful and glad this store is here can't give it five stars because the cash register is worse than Kroger and Albertsons. However they do have some really great art supplies. Between Michaels and Hobby Lobby in the same parking lot, what Michael's doesn't have Hobby does have, and visa versa. It took me a few minutes to get used to their overly complicated crash register combined with app combined with all the stuff, I do get a hefty discount now they made me work really hard for it so I'm glad I got it. I do have a 15% military discount here I applied for it through the complicated app and it did go through. Still I kind of like shopping at Hobby Lobby because you don't have to be a computer rocket scientist to check out. But there's a lot of things Hobby Lobby doesn't have they're really not an art store, and there's a lot of things Michaels doesn't have either they are very much an art specialty store. I do think Hobby Lobby has a much larger supply of more interesting small liquid acrylic paint bottles a very unique effects. And Hobby Lobby can be a better place to buy high-quality Masters touch paint brushes and a more reasonable price than grumbacher liquitex or windsor newton across the parking lot

So I say I need both Michaels and Hobby Lobby next to each other it makes my life as an artist much more interesting and fulfilling

Do we need Michael's and Hobby Lobby in Sierra Vista yes we do we are growing thriving megalopolis...

1st impressions they say are quite lasting, however, everyone and everything has something to work on. With the competition closed on Sundays, it is nice for us artists and crafty folks to have somewhere to go to obtain supplies and Michael's definitely has the majority if supplies any 🎨 artist and craftsman would want. Did not find any airbrush supplies 🥺. The place is super spacious and a massive selection. Far more supplies than when Michael's was in town by the pizza spot. No issued with parking when the gym is closed. Plenty of other shopping venues we'll within walking distance along with places to eat if needed. I am only holding back 1 star simply due to the strong paint smell throughout the store, possibly from the fresh paint since the store just opened. I'm sure with time that should subside. Self check out stations are pretty easy to use. Will give it a couple of months to let that paint...

I just had my first visit at this location and I have to say I'm impressed. After I walked in I was greeted by Jeannine, M (I'm sorry if I misspelled, Jeannine!). After I walked around for a bit, I decided to go back to Jeannine and ask if they had any empty spray bottles. She walked around with me because she also was trying to learn the store and I commented "Then it's a mutual learning experience!" and we both had a chuckle. She was very nice, smiled a lot, and she even helped me at the check out.
