Me and my friend went this was my second time coming to the cat cafe had a great time the first time. But this time me and my friend got our drinks and sat down next to this cat , and was the sweetest thing ever we where petting the cat and just chilling next to it and then the staff lady comes in and just tells me and my friend to move away and get away from the cat. So we move but then the lady puts the cat in a carrier and before she walks away my friend asks her whats going on. But then the lady says so bluntly " we are gonna have to put her down because she bit a kid" and then thus lady starts to stick up for the cat of course i would have too and then starts saying the kid was being to rough to that said cat and shouldnt put the cat down and i agree but when the lady said that the putting down the cat in that tone just shocked me there was at leats 5 other kids in there around my own sisters age and some but older ones i iist feel like she could have handled that situation better. Or could have just not answered but when she left this dad started saying that she shouldnt have said that infront of the kids and i agree with that. But i feel like the situation was very sad and shouldnt have happened in the first place and made everyone feel weird awkward uncomfortable. It was right in the begining of our session. People should just handle those situations better or if things happen like that and shoild be trained better mostly because of the...
Read moreThis is such a great addition to the downtown area! I’ve been several times, taken kids, out of town guests, friends, etc. Prices are super reasonable. They sell the cutest cat-themed treats — cupcakes, rice crispies, macaroons, etc. The cat room is always clean. I have allergies, so I always pop a Zyrtec before visiting. The times I’ve forgotten I haven’t been overwhelmed with sneezing, which I chalk up to the rigorous cleaning schedule. I appreciate that the cats are given a space inaccessible to guests so they can take a break from people whenever they need. It’s always fun to see the newest residents, from playful kittens to chunky elders who just want to sleep on their cat tree. We’re so fortunate to have this business, which caters to cuteness and adopting out lovable strays. I love driving by in the evenings and spotting a friend lounging in one of the window hammocks. Be sure to say hi to Darla, the resident cat. She’s a rare chocolate brown, and such a...
Read moreThe cafe is a perfect place to stop and get coffee or get a cat. I also learned they do events! They make cute little cat chocolate strawberries, dips, and cookies. The coffee was nothing less than perfect. So was the service. They were fast and orderly. I can't forget to mention the cat room. They have cats for sale from the humane society. Another important note is that anyone worried about the link to the cat room and the cafe. Rest assured, they have high cleanliness standards. Such as separate air filtration between the rooms. The cats, along with the cat employees, stay in their respective areas. While the cooks and the baristas remain in the cafe and kitchen. So, in theory, a person with an allergy to cats will be perfectly comfortable in the cafe and able to enjoy the food and the coffee free of cats.
It's a beautiful little place, and I highly recommend it, especially if you are a cat person. But seriously, if you aren't, it will still excel for...
