Read moreI purchased two lazy boy recliners. We were excited about the power recliners and features. This was the first step in redecorating our great room. I thought it would be simple to order two battery packs to avoid having an electrician putting plugs in the floor. I called the store about picking up two batteries to find out I needed to order them. Disappointed I had to wait, but it is the way it works. I provided all my information, name, phone number, email, and most importantly a credit card. Now this is where problems start with the Snellville store. I was never contacted about the order. After two weeks I called to check on the order. I received no receipt, email, or phone call. I knew my credit card was charged for the two batteries. When I called a lovely lady apologized and confirmed the batteries were in and ready for pick up. My husband drove to the store for the pick up. There was a sales person that was only interested in sales, not about a pick up. Another person barely helped and handed my husband a bag “with our order”. The way something simple goes wrong is the absence of professionalism. When my husband got home one of the boxes was very damaged. We have pictures if you are interested. Making matters worse is one box had a battery, adaptor, and instructions. The other just a battery. My husband called about the issue. A professional in Buford acknowledged the issue and we were able to use one of the batteries. Because of the absence of professionalism at the pick up and the fact a damaged box with missing parts was provided to a customer, my husband requested a call from a manager or regional manager. We are professional people and understood we may have to wait 48 hours. We waited the time and crickets. I have $500 in batteries and only one can be used. I was planning to purchase more furniture. I am losing faith and will likely go a different direction. We have always invested in quality furniture. I don’t feel like we are treated with a quality experience. We just want all of the parts for the $500 batteries. For this reason I cannot recommend this store. There is poor communication, absence of due diligence to ensure the order was right/complete, and no sense of urgency or care for a proper resolution. For these...
My father ordered a recliner about 2 weeks ago from this location, while we were here I found some tables that I thought would look nice in my bedroom, they were 1/2 off so I bought them; they were delivered; I was working from home so I really couldn’t check them. Upon looking at them, I found that they were damaged. I called La-z-boy and sent them these same pictures, they replaced the tables this past Monday. However, prior to them replacing them I asked that they confirm that the new tables are inspected; well, they were delivered this past Monday, I looked at them and the new tables are also damaged, I told the driver to take them back, he said he couldn’t but he’d note the delivery. I’ve been emailing Rick Barner at the customer service and he continues saying that he needs pictures. Had he done what he promised to do I wouldn’t be dealing with this all over again.
Dad and I decided to talk with a manager at the store today, we went in and told her just a very short part of what we’ve experienced, she quickly picked up the phone to call customer service. While she was on the phone I told her that Rick was out of the office today, she then started explaining that we took a second delivery of tables; my dad said to her that they were damaged and Rick had promised that he’d make sure that they weren’t. The manager put the phone down and went crazy. She told us to leave the gallery and to give her my credit card, when I asked what for she yelled, ‘to return your money’, I proceeded to tell her that I paid cash, things got worse. She picked up the phone and called 911. While waiting on the police, she was criticizing my father and me to other employees. At one point she said something like, ‘they’re two tables, what’s the big deal, they were only $1,046.00’. Unfortunately my father can’t cancel the order for his recliner. The officer that came was very nice and handled the situation really well. He suggested that my father cancel his order and go elsewhere, but as mentioned he can’t.
I’ve learned a big lesson today, I’ve never seen cars in the parking lot at Lazyboy, the officer confirmed the same thing. I’m sure they’ll be closing their doors very soon. Now to look...
Read moreThe staff were friendly but not pushy. They didn’t seem to mind me getting super comfy and playing with all of the features in the remote. Previously, I visited a furniture to go store where I tried a couple chairs but none of them were powered up and the manual chairs were back to back; therefore, I was unable to check for comfort. On a traumatic note, the last chair ceased to function and I literally had to climb out of it. That chair had collapsed on one side and no I'm not fat, I only weigh 160 pounds. I didn’t want to spend $600 on future landfill material so I went to La-Z-Boy. All of their recliners were operational: the manual ones had room to stretch out and the motorized ones were plugged in and ready rest & relaxation! Tyler just let me do my thing, going from chair to chair yet he responded to all of my signals for a question. I researched the web to find out who made the best recliner - Lazy Boy was the answer. Another question was already present about which chair was more durable. Before clicking on the response, I was thinking that the manual model would be the most durable due to less moving parts. Well I was wrong. The response claim that the electric versions last longer. Nearly sitting in every chair Lazy Boy had on display, I found my chair. I melted into it as if were custom made just for me. I have to admit that after visiting the junk store and seeing the low cost, I felt some some sticker shock. I had to be realistic, I was not going to get a Rolls Royce for the cost of a Pinto. I didn't want to repurchase another chair within a few years or quite possibly breaking it on my first time using it. Actually, I was sold on this store the moment Tyler said, “Made In America”. That was music to my ears, America first, then doze off in my new, well-built, and super comfortable chair. This chair will be enjoyed for generations to come. If you care about quality and the environment, then the facts I’ve listed should matter to you and enable you to make your next purchase with peace of mind, knowing that you made the best...
