We've been going to the Dacula location for quite a while now. Always a great experience in food and service. We decided to try the new location out -I think we will stick with Dacula.
We went in around 7PM on 03/01/2018. The young lady at the counter let us know about the specials they were running. They had a large one topping pizza for $X.XX. I asked if we could do the special and pay extra to add an additional topping. The young lady said "No". In my disbelief I asked again reiterating that the menu stated that a large topping was $1.75 and that I'd happily pay the additional amount because we wanted a large pepperoni and mushroom pizza. Again, her reply was "No".
Noticing the confusion and frustration on my face a lady came from the kitchen after hearing my second request to get the special and pay extra. She said that we could in fact do it and showed the young lady at the counter how to do it. The young lady punched in our order and gave us a total The lady from the kitchen repeated the order back "Large Pepperoni", and I explained that we wanted a Large Pepperoni and Mushroom pizza. The young lady had put the order in incorrectly. Had the young lady repeated the order, that would have been helpful. The young lady updated the order and then it got crazy. My spouse tried to pay with a magical device (Contact-Less Pay, ApplePay, AndroidPay, SamsungPay, Tap and Go) and the young lady looked very confused. After several attempts to pay as well as explain to the young lady how we were attempting to pay, NO LUCK. My souse dug out a credit card and put it in the slot, only THEN did the lady behind the counter punch the correct buttons to activate the credit card reader. The credit card reader that had the "Tap And Go" logo on it but this was beyond the young lady behind the counter.
As we got settled in the dining room the lady from the kitchen did something INSANE. The came out to the dining room, got a stand to put our upcoming pizza one, got us plates, and silverware. She brought out the pizza and asked if we needed anything. She checked on us a few times throughout our meal. Although the young lady from behind the counter was in the dining room several times, I never noticed her speaking to ANY customer to inquire if they needed anything.
As we were leaving the lady from the kitchen thanked us, the young lady behind the counter -silent.
Review with the young lady behind the counter: If a customer is willing to PAY MORE to add to an item, take their money and thank them. Not every transaction will be cash or credit card. The magical new devices for payment are sure to catch on. Follow up with your customers to see if there is anything they need and how they are enjoying the food.
The food was excellent. The lady from the kitchen, phenomenal. The young lady behind the counter...
Read moreThis was my first time eating at this restaurant. This past year we have mostly picked up our food for obvious reasons at local restaurants. So, we were in the mood for Italian, but not pizza. I also didn't want to drive far away to Provino's (20 minutes) so I decided to drive 5 minutes to this restaurant. My wife ordered chicken Parmesan and I order baked ziti and meatballs with garlic knots.
Conclusion: two thumbs up! And I'm 100% Italian, so I'm not that easy to please. I liked everything, and yes, my wife and I shared half of each other's order, so I ate the chicken Parmesan too. Both were excellent. When I say EVERYTHING was good, of course that includes the sauce, meatballs, and garlic knots. And you got a lot of food for your buck. Not only did that satisfy us for last night's meal, but also for lunch this afternoon. We did buy a medium pizza for the kids, but I didn't try that...kids ate them all. So, for all that, it was under $50. And I didn't have to fight Scenic Highway traffic at 5:00 on a Friday. We will definitely be back.
6/27/22 Update: I have used this restaurant a bunch of times since my review and I can honestly tell you that I have NEVER been disappointed. I am so grateful this restaurant is only a mile from my house. Makes it very easy for me to call in an order on a whim. I hope you will come to agree with me if you give them...
Read moreMy first time at this restaurant. The one employee that we encountered while there was nice and seemed knowledgeable about the menu. You can tell that some thought has been given to setting up the interior of the restaurant which seemed modern and updated. We ordered the veggie pizza and a soda. I think this is the first restaurant I've encountered in Atlanta that does not have Diet Coke in their fountain selection which we discovered after we ordered our drinks. The pizza crust was thin and extremely tough. Could not even cut the crust with a knife. The edge of the crust was hard and not even edible. Skimpy on the cheese. We eventually gave up on trying to eat the crust and scraped the veggie/cheese mixture off the crust and tried eating that. It was quite tasteless overall and certainly nothing there that would ever make me want to return to this restaurant. We were offered a to-go box but we left about half of the pizza on the table untouched. Without a doubt the worst pizza I...
