Sisters Interiors — Local services in South Padre Island

WARNING EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!! 5 stars ONLY because I don’t this review filtered to the bottom. This store (Sisters Interiors) is located in South Padre Island, Texas 2901 Padre Blvd. on an island at the beach. My family and I have been shopping at this store for several years and giving them our business. I found something I wanted in October, 2022 and never had a chance to go back and grab the items. Upon returning in June, 2023 I went back into Sisters Interiors to get said items. After shopping around for over 15 minutes and being helped graciously by several staff members, I was then approached while in the line to spend MY money in this establishment and was asked to leave because was not wearing a shirt. Again, this is after shopping for over 15 minutes and in line to SPEND MONEY AT THEIR STORE. This is not the way to run a business and this is no way to treat a PAYING customer. I do not appreciate the way I was treated or the way the situation was handled. Upon calling the store to make a complaint they seemed very uninterested in resolving the issue and hung up on me. I will never return to this store and I will make sure nobody I knows spends a dollar here. Extremely unprofessional, and no way to operate a business. This is not about being allowed to shop without a shirt. The problem is the way it was handled and that I was assisted by several team members having no shirt on with absolutely no issue until I arrived in the checkout line. Had so much fun in this spot! Forget souvenir shopping(the same stuff over and over) and get to this store! Tell the hubby that you need the Amex and you want Christmas early!!! There are some places that you will always remember when you travel and this one I will always hold close to my heart. They carry McKenzie-Childs and have custom pieces made for them that are fantastic! I felt like Alice in Wonderland at the Mad Hatter's Tea all over again, just like I did as a child surrounded by pieces my family had.(I'm in my 40s now, so what a cool feeling!) And I am so envious of the mirror they had made on the back wall! Can I get in the will, lol? The art pieces are chosen carefully by artists that they meet and support glowingly that will cause you to stomp your feet when your husband tells you no, just kidding ;). Ok, maybe not, haha! There is so much here that we absolutely loved and will gladly be back to enjoy the ambience, the sweetest daughter that just moved back, and maybe we will have a new theme to shop for since our boat is busting at the seams! Unbelievable!! The store is such a nice clean and organized store! It’s too bad that the Service and Professionalism was so poor! It was obvious we were not wanted in the store! My daughter wanted a necklace and the rude and unfriendly person wouldn’t even try to show her a necklace! Told her it was tangled!! Then why display it! Why not offer something else! Why not be apologetic to the customer for not having an item the customer wanted! With COVID 19 Sales are hard to come by with traffic as light as it is at SPI and this type of arrive and rude behavior will not help your cause!
