SPI Fun Rentals — Local services in South Padre Island

I want to give this place a zero, but Google maps won't allow me to do that and I wish they did. This place deserves it. I had issues with two golf carts. The first one had a flat tire and the lazy worker behind the counter wanted me to fix it. The second cart she gave me was even worse. The gear shift kept falling out of gear. I returned both carts early. There was no refund given to me. I understand that I signed a contractual agreement. But when the equipment that I am renting is faulty, that is a breach of contract from the rental company. They took my money and gave me improper working equipment. So now I'm being charged for 3 days of rental that I'm not using. This company ought to be ashamed of themselves. I agree with the person who said that this company should be shut down. When I look at past reviews, the latest one's are poor reviews. The good reviews are from a while ago. That tells me that they don't do maintenance on their golf carts. We rented a 6 seater golf cart for 48 hours and had a fantastic experience. The lady working who helped us get set up was super nice and helpful. They gave us a great deal. This was such a fun addition to our vacation. We enjoyed hopping around the island on it but it also made for a fun nighttime experience just driving around enjoying the sights and sounds.

There are PLENTY of rental options on the island and I can’t speak for any others, but this one was absolutely great! If we are ever in SPI again, we will FOR SURE come back...

The horn and blinkers on my cart did not work and the steering wheel was hard to turn. I let it slide because obviously these are used by many others. A couple days later I was randomly charged $400 from them. I called the store 5 times and no answer so I’m currently still trying to get in contact with them but it seems they are avoiding me.
