South Portland store Rock's review. I have worked, managed, even owned my own business and I know it's hard to find good reliable help. In the bike department there is a employee named Tim on 2 separate trips to this store I have seen and heard enough to know this man needs to be in management his positive outlook problem solving skills and attention to the BOTTOM LINE customer needs being met while feeling heard and appreciated and not being a number or ripped off. This employee must have helped 7 customers 4 employees who lacked knowledge in their own department all while assisting me the entire time and was polite enough to give me the courtesy of asking if it was all right to step away for 2 seconds 2 steps away to give the other employees privacy I said go on with your bad self. One word for this employee Tim, would be EXCEPTIONAL He is contagious put him higher in the chain because most of the other employees need him to rub off on them and from reading some of the reviews sounds like you should hurry the customer IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF ANY BUSINESS! The local store was out of my size but the store associate checked online while I was there and told me that he fond my size online and he could order them and have them shipped to my home. I accepted and ordered the pants online, through the local Dickās store. A couple of days later I received an email stating that my order had been shipped and I was provided a tracking #. My credit card was also charged. About 10 days later I still hadnāt received my order and I contacted Dickās customer service, Customer service told me that the pants that Dickās ordered for me online was OUT OF STOCK. I asked Dickās how they could be out of stock when they had in fact mailed my order and provided a tracking #. They did not give me a reason but told me I could buy something else of equal cost or get a refund. I took the refund and will never visit or buy from Dickās again. While continuing to provide sales and service advice to several other clients, Tim did an overall tune-up to my bike which took the better part of an hour. Tim, an experienced man and bicycle technician, made each of his clients feel at ease as he; reviewed the repairs done to two bicycles for middle aged ladies, advised how best to select shoes for spin class with a young woman and her mom, and lastly straightened a bent rim for a man who came in thinking he was going to be ordering and purchasing a new one. I also witnessed Tim advising and assisting other sales associates offering good advice regarding ergonomic safety. Typically I'm not one to write reviews but the hour spent with Tim allowed me to witness a person who provides a quality service, with a pleasant demeanor, and one who has time for anyone and everyone....
