I went here for a screen replacement on Sunday because the store I normally go to is closed on Sunday (iStore Phone Repair) , they didn't check over my phone before hand, refused to allow me to stay in the store for what they said would be a "15-20 minute repair" and told me the price would be $180, the woman who fixed it told me "Oh I'll give you a ten dollar discount" even though after taxes and fees the price was still $180 dollars so I don't even see why she took the time to lie to my face. They didn't check over my phone at all, I was in a hurry to get ready for a trip so I didn't take the proper time to look over my phone till later that night. When I finally went over it the front facing (flashlight side) wasn't working at all, later in the week while on my trip the flashlight stopped working. When I finally got around to go back and have them check over my phone they didn't even have the part I needed and told me I would have to wait for over a week for it to get in. Luckily there was a different store near by that I normally go to iStore Phone Repair, after about 30 minutes of checking over everything on the phone they told me that the woman who "fixed" my phone at iFix didn't put my case on right broke the camera connective wires, and neglected to put all the screws in my phone (hence why the flashlight stored working).
On top of that the woman tried acting like she was doing me a favor by "discounting" the price by ten dollars again with the already warranty discount, pretending like after taxes and fees it would still come up to the already discounted 50%.
To add insult to injury the very sweet individuals at the iStore Phone Repair explained that I wasn't the first individual who came into the same situation attempting to use the "iFix" store in the mall. Trust me when I say this, save your money, or if you have to spend it go to a place that actually cares about you. iStore is family owned (the South Portland location) and makes sure to fully go over your phone (in front of you) so you know exactly what they are...
Read moreI took my Pixel 3a here with a cracked screen. The phone was still totally operational, it just had a cracked screen. She told me it would be 90 minutes and $160. Immediately after picking up my phone I noticed the screen was less sensitive and only picking up half my keystrokes when typing. Within hours I also noticed my screen was popping off.
I went back in the next day and they said they would fix it and it would take about an hour. After wandering around the mall for an hour and not hearing anything my husband went back in and asked for an update. She said it would be 3-4 more hours as she needed another technician to come in and do it (that would have been nice to know earlier as we would have just gone home instead of hanging out in the mall for an hour).. So after not hearing anything for 4 hours my husband calls and she says it'll be another hour. So after an hour and a half we head back to the store and I pick up my phone and have the exact same problem with the keyboard not picking up my keystrokes and the screen was popping off again.
This morning I went in and just asked for a refund because clearly they can't fix my phone properly. She told me they could refund me but would have to put my old cracked screen back on. Okay, weird but whatever.. I just want my money back. 20 minutes later she hands me back my phone and the inside of the screen was completely shattered and black and unresponsive. She tried to tell me when I dropped it off that's how it was which is a complete lie. So now I have absolutely no phone at all.
Don't go here. Just don't. An...
Read moreSketchy place. I went in the mall to have my screen replaced, they said they could do it for $300. Had me sign what appeared to be an agreement and when I asked for a copy he laughed and said no. I asked why and said it's a receipt and he said I would get a receipt when I paid for the screen. Not fully agreeing, but said okay. They had already taken my phone and said they needed to go into the settings (which I assumed was to see the type of phone) and at no point did I see the screen locked again before they walked off with it (I went to the kiosk, assumed they were taking it to the main storefront). Said 30-60 minutes. We walked around for a bit, went back and stood there for a good 10 minutes before they finally brought my phone back and said, "sorry we can't fix it unless you wanna come back in 3-4 days". My whole life is on my phone, and now I'm worried they had access to all my information. I ended up taking it to We Fix It Phone Repair in Portland who charged the same amount, fixed it in the time said with no signature for anything nor needing access to the phone to find out which one it is (there is an IMEI number on the back that tells them). I'm totally sketched out now and now being able to use my phone and read other reviews for this place am completely unsettled about...
