I came here in June and had Cindy and was a very good experience with gel polish (mani and pedi). But, I came again in July and had a not so good experience.
I had a appt scheduled for a mani gel polish with Cindy for 12pm. I arrived a little early, 11:45, and noticed she was just starting on someone else. I waited until 12:45 and then they sat me with Antonio. I’m not sure if Cindy just took a walk in or if she was running late on her scheduled appts but I was sad that I couldn’t have Cindy like I had requested. Antonio was just finishing up with someone else. He started on me around 1pm.
He was pretty rough with removing the gel I had from my previous appt. When he was filing, he was accidentally hitting the skin around the bottom of my nail which ended up giving me paper cuts. While he was trimming around my cuticles, he was making me bleed on a couple nails. I think he filed the gel down a little too roughly because I have dents in my nails now.
I attached a picture where you can see what my nails look like now after they’ve grown out and since I’ve now removed the gel Antonio did. You can see the grooves in my nail since he filed down too far. When he initially removed the gel, I could tell afterward that my nails were very bendy and pliable. I know that’s probably normal to an extent, that your nails will be thinner and bendy, but my nails were very thick to begin with so it was concerning that they were now so thin after the removal.
Anyway, he started painting the color based on the swatch I picked out (a pink cat eye color). Unfortunately, it wasn’t exactly the color I thought it would be, my fault. However, I do always show them reference pics for what I want, and both times, they haven’t recommended a different color or helped me decide if it was a good match. I always say “I don’t know if this swatch/color is going to be the same as the picture?”
After I got home and looked closer at my nails, it was clumpy around some of the cuticles. It did feel like he was rushing and not taking his time...
Read moreIt was fantastic! I went to them for my first ever manicure and pedicure to be done professionally, and I was so nervous with my social anxiety as I had never been treated as a client in an established salon before, so I was really worried I'd embarass myself.
Scheduling online was great, though a little confusing with the specific service I wanted The descriptions were a little less informative, but they were able to assist me in store to educate me for future visits for when I book again.
I had Cindy as my technician, and she was really sweet and welcoming. Incredibly patient with me when my legs kept jerking as she did the callus treatment (didn't realize how ticklish my feet were) and guided me through with patience and understanding on what I needed to do while she did what she needed.
It did get a little busy when more clients walked as I was finishing up my service, but they were all working incredibly hard to get everyone started and taken care of. The other technician (I never caught her name), helped with my lip waxing while Cindy was busy, and she was real sweet too. They were quick and efficient and did an amazing job on the nails.
I had a lot of fun, felt relaxed the whole time, and felt like a new person afterward, I haven't felt this great in ages!
20/10 would recommend if youre looking for a new place or want to...
Read moreI went a couple weeks ago. I forgot that it is under new ownership. They do recommend an appointment I guess , I was a walk in . They told me someone had an appointment if they no show they can do my pedicure . I asked how long . I was told 5 minutes. They actually told me after 2 minutes I could get a pedicure. The lady started on me when I guess two people with appointments came in . Once the lady saw them I felt like she rushed my pedicure she used the thing I think it’s a pumice stone on my left foot to scrape off my left foot. She was distracted I guess and did not do my right foot I didn’t say anything because I was in disbelief hoping she would remember she didn’t . She didn’t give me flip flops either she started working on the other women’s feet I sat there probably 15 minutes and wanted to leave so I gave her a look that I needed to Leave so she gave me the flip flaps. No tip left . Not good service ——UPDATE— After owner commented . It is not a cheese grater . I didn’t know the name of it it’s more like a pumice stone. Enclosed is a photo of the address I went to . Is this not the correct location!? Of course you can’t remember everyone who goes in there. It was a older Asian women with short hair who didn’t know English if this...
