I went with a group of friends and one of them asked to use the bathroom. The rest of us were done looking, so we decided to sit in the store and wait since there’s plenty of furniture and it was cold outside. A blonde staff member came up to us and rudely told us to leave. I told her we were waiting for our friend who was in the bathroom. Right when I said that, my friend happened to be coming back and the lady pointed at him and said “is that your friend?” I said yes. Then, she proceeded to say “okay well this isn’t a lounge” before walking away. She was very rude for absolutely no reason and did not even bother to watch us leave. It’s not like we were even playing around or anything. We were just sitting there talking and waiting. The fact that she was trying to kick us out without knowing anything was very annoying. What if we were testing the furniture before buying it or had a physical issue and needed to sit down for a few minutes. And the way she pointed at my friend and asked if we knew him was extremely weird. What if he hadn’t walked out and she pointed at a random stranger asking if we knew him. It’s not like the store was super busy and we were in the way either. We were like the only ones in there. There was definitely prejudice against us. It’s no wonder why this store has less than 4 stars and a ton of bad customer...
Read moreI want to be very honest in my review of Pottery Barn. I love their rustic style and have been shopping at Pottery Barn for the past 4 years. Usually, I go to the Evergreen Walk location in South Windsor, CT, as it’s the closest store to my town. My house is decorated with items that are 60% from Pottery Barn. However, some employees there are sarcastic and arrogant, which discouraged me from shopping there as frequently. Despite this, employees like Heather and Valentina (the new manager) are incredible — friendly, attentive, and kind. Their professionalism and warmth have brought me back to this store location. Heather, in particular, is an amazing professional and human being. Because of them, I would love to give 10-stars...
Read moreMy wedding registry experience at Pottery Barn was not a pleasant experience at all. I would not advise using their registry service. We did not receive the name or gift messages from the gifts received from our wedding guests who purchased from here as all but one package received came with a packing slip. This also made it very difficult to return an item if a duplicate was received since we did not have access to an order number. When I mentioned this to a registry consultant they advised that IT could update our gift tracker with the messages, this did not happen. Instead, what did happen was my registry list was deleted and now I can no longer see who gave us gifts for our wedding which is completely...
