I have been going going to this location for about 15 years or so. First taking both my Mom and Dad till they both both passed away, they saw Dr Edwards who took the best care of them both. His nurse was right on! Everyone in the office during that time and now the lab, the testing staff, and though the front desk staff has changed everyone is has been nice and professional through the years. Now it's my turn to go to Stern. Because heart trouble ran in my family, my real Dad had died at 39 after 2 heart attacks. I started having those Life Screenings done when I was 45. When I got a result that I had some plaque beginning to build up, I have high cholesterol, it scared me. It was funny because I had gotten a flyer that Stern in Germantown was doing the screening I was getting done, but adding one or two more tests .. of course my mind went to work. I thought at first ok well that will be my next one..next year, I put the flyer up. But my mind kept at me what if there is more wrong blah blah blah. It wouldn't be quiet like my mind does until I went and got the complete big test from Stern. I was fine, but I had a start point with them. But I did start having other heath issues one thing and another. I'm back at Stern I see Dr Coppess and I love coming in to see him. He takes care of my pacemaker. He talked to me about getting it, and made me feel safe in the decision to go forward. I love his nurse and staff they are very warm, friendly, helpful and have gotten right back to me on the phone. I have never had to wait very long to see Dr Coppess, when he's with me, he is very much "there" open to anything I have to say. I like that. Dr Coppess runs his team in a very "human" but professional way! Way to go Dr Coppess! Though the faces have changed at the front desk.. as they do. I have always been treated in a...
Read moreWent here for my initial appointment with Dr. Szatkowski and needless to say after 2hrs of waiting, I still had not seen him. They suggested and then scheduled an echocardiogram for me. I had to reschedule due to being out of town on the day of my appointment. When I called to reschedule they acted as if I had scheduled the Echogram, and told me to contact my insurance to reschedule. I asked them for what? This was yâalls recommendation, not my request. So, shouldnât your insurance department be calling my insurance to reschedule? She acted as if she had no idea and transferred me to the insurance department. After speaking to this person, I was correct, it was their job to contact my insurance and reschedule. So, they finally get me rescheduled. Then when I come for my rescheduled appointment, I find out that whole I was out of town they have rescheduled my appointment again because Dr. Szatkowski is on Holiday! They said they tried to call me. So, I asked why they didnât leave a voicemail about my rescheduled appointment. They didnât know! They asked if I wanted to stick with the new reschedule day! I said no bcuz I wonât be back PERIODT!!!!! I will be going to another location that has their stuff together! This Southaven location is horrible!!! Save yourself the trouble and go...
Read moreToday I visited Stern Cardiovascular for my regular semi-annual check-up. The staff was friendly and professional and practicing safe social distancing. They took care of their part of my visit (history, general well-being and test) in about 10 min. I then sat in a room and waited for Dr. Klemis for an hour at which time I decided I had waited long enough. I was the first appointment slot of the day and should have been finished by 8:30 if not for the inconsiderate and unprofessional behavior of the doctor. His staff was apologetic but said they didn't know where he was or when he would arrive. While he may not think my job is as important as his, his carelessness cost me wages for a half day today and probably another full day when I have to reschedule my visit with a more conscientious physician on the other side of town. I deserve to be treated with respect like a valued client instead of like an interruption to his day. I started seeing Dr. Klemis because of his proximity to my home, but I would rather drive 50 miles to see a physician that I know...
