If I could give 0 I would. I had to call an ambulance to come get me because I had nausea, vomiting, and pain (in stomach) so severe I thought I was dying. I was literally telling my mom to take care of my son for me. It was like food poisoning times 10. I was in severe distress. (I need to leave a review for the fire dept ambulance guys they need 5+ stars by the way, they were all so very kind.) I was so dehydrated they couldn't get an iv ran on the way or once I got there for a minute. Took 3 different lady's. I gave nurse Ashley (who also needs 5+ stars, this low review should not reflect on her in any way shape form or fashion) all my symptoms to the best of my ability considering my distressed state of mind. When the Dr came in first thing she asked was about drug abuse. I told her I had been clean for years off drugs but I did still smoke thc when my scistica flared up and it did the day before i got sick. (It is medically legal in this state so you should tell your doctors not to treat us like less than dogs when we tell them we utilize it) she immediately changed as did the older nurse that was working along nurse Ashley. Doctor IMMEDIATELY JUMPED TO CHS said well you have chs and threw her hands up and walked out telling other nurse she was going to medicate me for that. That other nurse just kinda chuckled and smirked at me. I was treated significantly worse after that. I have a witness who can testify tothe change in their attitudes. Any kind of decent doctor worth a dangknows chs takes more than one ER visit to diagnos and it is RARE. It can take more than a year to diagnose. Once I saw that I told them I was leaving ama get my papers ready. I would rather die at home with loved ones than die in a hospital being ignored by staff. Once I got home I checked my chart. Turns out I was septic. I was on deaths door. And the doctor knew that because my labs came back an hour or so before I finally left to go home and die. So the doctor knew I didn't have chs and instead of telling me she was wrong let me go home to die. The nirse even told me as she was chuckling what you dont want the antibiotics she was going to give you? So she absolutely unequivocally knew i ddidnt have chs and instead of telling me she was wrong and i was septic her pride almost killed me. (We all know you dont treat chs with antibiotics) It's a miracle I'm not dead. This is the kind of care you can expect at this hospital. If anyone you know had died there you should probably request an investigation from a private party. Also I left this review a month ago and someone from the hospital replied and asked me to call them but I did call them and never received a call back. So don't believe they actually do anything when they leave those replies on reviews. Like anything else they do it's for show. I deleted the old review and left this one so I could add that little fact...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI waited for 4 hours in the waiting room. I came in with severe back pain with a very elevated blood pressure. When finally I was called back to a room they evaluated me and gave orders for pain management. After 1 1/2 hours they came in to do a UA to even attempt to give me pain meds. Once I received the meds there was discussion that I was marked for discharge but the NP was marking things in the wrong color and it would be longer until I could discharge. Even with the pain management I was still in pain at a level 6 and they still discharged me. Sent me home with ibuprofen and lidocaine patch prescription. When checking out it was apparent that I was still in pain and was suggested to check back in to receive additional aid but you would think I should not have been discharged while still being in such pain and I should not have to check back in and spend more time in the hospital when I have then spend at least 7hrs for little effect. I went to my pcp next day and was told that they were shocked at my treatment and I should have received an xray at least. There was mention of being understaffed and I understand that as I work in the medical field but it should not be at the cost of your patients. I felt as if I was dismissed because it was easy to just send me on my way. I have honestly been disappointed in multiple instances of the Baptist Desoto ER. I hope this review will result in better care for...
