Boo & Roo's — Local services in Southport

Really disappointed in the customer service here. Employees forced us into buying a 40 dollar stuffed otter because my daughter picked it up. Minimal signage was visible and none mentioned a forceful policy such as this. The employee made a very passive aggressive comment and said “great, now we can’t sell that, guess you’ll have to buy it” Our vacation to Southport ended with a very sour taste in our mouth thanks to this establishment. A simple polite conversation about the policy with a little grace goes a long way. If you're going to be as impolite and rude as this, at least make sure expectations are clearly explained prior to entering the store. One star is too high for how myself and son were treated. We walked in as a family and waited towards the front with our drinks respecting the request to not walk in with drinks. We stood next to the back scratchers and I decided to try one. Nothing was said. My son who is brown then tried one. Once he did the lady at the front walked up to us and told us if we were going to use them in the store she would have to put them up. The lady was racist and rude....

I have waited a year to go back to this sweet boutique. I had purchased a top from a unique collection near the back of the store. I regretted not getting a skirt to go with it. This week I was able to go back and find the perfect match. This collection is apparently not digitized so you cannot find their items on line. I didn’t look my best but am polite and open and I told the sales clerk what I wanted. Found it, tried...
