I have been a customer of this store for over 20 years, but my experience today broke my heart and disappointed me so deeply! An employee was unusually cruel with her words and actions to my 5 year old son as he excitedly attempted to touch a Christmas ornament in the shape of a guitar. He simply wanted to press the button that played the Christmas song ( He is an avid guitar fan who has all of the Hallmark Christmas guitar ornaments made thus far.). She reprimanded him by raising her voice an humiliating him and my older son stating that he was trying to rip the ornament from the display. I had taken my two sons to the store to pick out ornaments for our tree. Although I attempted to smooth the situation over with my children, they were very upset and in tears over this employees careless and rude treatment of them, that even at bedtime prayers this situation continued to be a concern to them. We went to the Hallmark Gold Crown Store at Westgate Mall here in Spartanburg South Carolina. I fell in love with the whole store all over again. I loved every piece of Christmas merchandise that’s in the store right now especially their Grinch Tree. It’s been years since I visited the store at Christmastime but I’m so glad that I went. New to the area from up north & walking into this store,..almost immediately experienced the most kind southern hospitality. Christy's knowledge with the items in the store were super helpful & was able to find the gifts I was searching for. Me, not knowing a soul down south, Christy was kind enough to offer her help & suggest local places that I could visit and get to know the area. I'm beyond greatful.
