I got three pairs of identical St. Johns khaki pants to wear to teach on sale. One of the zippers broke. My family has always had good experiences with the quality of clothes at JCPENNEY so I was surprised, but thought it was a fluke that would be made right. My dad also returned something there once and the staff was friendly, helpful, and exchanged his item with no receipt or tags. My experience tonight was embarrassing. Not only was my item not exchanged but the lady said she could tell they had been washed more than once because the letters were peeling. It's on the waistband so there should be some wear. I told them I had worn them a few times, but very few. I bought them in mid August and they messed up mid September. They were not worn more than once per week. On Feb 26, I receive a phone call saying my order had been delivered to the store on Feb 22 and if it wasn't picked up within 10 days, the order would be canceled. My credit card had already been charged for the order. On the night of Feb 26, my boyfriend goes to the store to pick up said order. He gets there and the two employees look over 30 mins and can't find it anywhere. They tell him they'll refund my card (which they did) and that we can reorder it. I called today and was told the order wasn't actually on the truck, but that I could reorder again. Ummm...NO THANKS. First off, why wasn't I notified of WHEN it would be arriving at the store? Today my son and his family were harassed by the staff and followed around the store and questioned constantly and they were there with my grandchild trying on clothes for a family picture they are taking this weekend.
