The Facebook post said that the holiday deal was buy one get one free chocolate caramel apples. My wife drove there and found that only the few apples that were buy one get one free were on a table (most were mint, eww). The post should have said a few select caramel apples were buy one get one free. This is the second time this store has deceived its customers. One day when when we went to the mall there were signs that said buy one get one free chocolate caramel apples, When my wife got the apples and went to check out that's when they said they weren't on sale and they accidentally left the signs up. My wife told them to remove the signs then immediately because it's wrong to trick your customers. One of the employees removed only one sign. Which was the sign we could see as we walked into the store. The employee deliberately left the others up. I assumed the employees did this to trick customers because they were bored and wanted customers in the store, however, after the thanksgiving day wording I have realized that it's probably not the employees but the owners as well. It's such a shame my wife loved those apples. My wife now feels like she should try another gourmet caramel apple business that is not dishonest towards its...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI usually love Big Bear Chocolates and am particularly fond of their caramel apples (the apple pie flavor is favorite), but the last three apples I have bought from them (two were purchased just two days ago (8/16/22) and one a month and a half before (6/4/22) the core of the apples was rotten and there were brown spots all over the apples. I didnāt think about taking pictures or contacting them until after we had already eaten what we could and discarded the rest (not sure if they should have been consumed at all but I cut off what I could of the brown spots although the flavor was much more sour than usual). It is definitely disappointing paying gourmet prices for a rotten apple. I gave them three stars because I feel that they would have handled the situation fairly and I would have most likely been reimbursed if I had shown them pictures of the apples. However, this has happened enough now that I will be taking my caramel apples needs to Pete Belles from here on out. I would still recommend Big Bear Chocolates for their other products as they have a great staff and I havenāt had an issue with any of their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe chocolates here were okay. It was very expensive and the chocolates didnāt taste gourmet. They tasted artificial and didnāt have a well balance of flavors. They also didnāt offer any free samples to try them which may have been the early red flag for me. The chocolates are way over priced for the taste. The worker in the front was eating products and told me she was going to finish eating her food before helping me. I waited about 5 minutes. A second employee emerged from the back shortly after the lady had begun to help me. The atmosphere was cute. It was small, so cluttered. But the music was nice and the housekeeping was on pare.
Overall, I donāt recommend. There are so many chocolatiers in Spokane, itās worth the drive to go...
