I went to Kohl's to request a return without a receipt. I remembered that I paid cash, which is why they couldn't locate my purchase. I'm indecisive about whether to accept the lowest price since I paid more than that. If I get my total, I might change my mind about returning the items. My bill was $52.87, and since they have the "$25 purchase with $10 off" deal, I asked the associate if she could split the transaction into two because they only give out the $10 off coupon with a $25 purchase. Since it was the last day of the promotion, I wanted to take advantage of it and I had my own coupons as well.
She explained to me that I only had one transaction, and I understood that. But after applying the $10 off, I still had $35 remaining, which I could use as my second $25 purchase. I love Kohl's, especially when they have good deals, so as a customer, I try to make the most of the sales. However, this associate didn't help me at all. I forgot to get her name because I was really upset and just wanted to leave without dealing with her anymore, but I overheard her saying she was confused. She made me feel uncomfortable. I believe she was a manager, and she could have voided the transaction if she wanted to help me, but instead, she insisted that I only had one transaction.
I called Kohl's customer service, explained the situation, and they immediately understood what I meant. They told me that in the store, the staff should be helping customers. I wish Sydney had been there, she helped me with the same issue before without any problems. Next time I leave a survey, I will make sure to find out the associate’s / manager name before leaving a comment. This isn’t the first time she hasn’t been friendly to me. I got followed around one day by security because I was there too long apparently (shopping) and he even went out of his way to approach me - like he thought that I was stealing (and wanted it to be known he was watching me) then proceeded to ask me if there was something specific I needed help finding… I understand that there are bad people that do steal HOWEVER for him to come out of literally no where to actually approach me and make a point to say something to me personally, was so uncalled for. I used to have a kohls credit card I mean I spent ALOT of money at kohls now I don’t even go there anymore for anything, and it’s all because I was there for hours SHOPPING , I complained and they tried to give me kohls cash I told them keep it, thats how upsetting that was to me and I would be okay with never stepping foot in there again, it’s not even about the money.. they ruined that for me and I did ALL of my shopping there, kids Christmas presents, clothes, shoes, kitchen items, shark vacuum, rugs, pillows, bedroom items, jewelry, I mean I did all of my shopping there for EVERYTHING even wrapping paper and cards, travel gear. They ruined all of that for me. And I even immediately went to check out after I’m not sure why I even still bought anything and the manager I even explained to her how I felt and I’m sure she seen when she typed in my reward info how much I spend there. Read moreI have been to this location a few times since the last review. It has been a better experience. The store has had a bit of remodeling done and looks nicer, although I have not had to return many items as I do not shop Kohl's stores frequently. It mostly has been a few online orders. I did have Kohl's cash that expired by a few days, and they did take it. I do not feel their "cash" should expire!! Upgraded them a few stars because of this.
Many years ago: After spending a lot of money here for my daughter's birthday and for home items online, I received a lot of Kohl's cash. My daughter wanted to return a pair of shoes for another color and also a comforter that she wanted another color of. We were told we could exchange items for the same amount. No problem there except not a big selection of comforters! found a comforter she did like that was 10.00 more and we couldn't pay the 10.00 difference..then the shoes were only online shoes from Kohl's! So they were I think 69.49 and all the shoes there are 69.99..none ended in .49! So we couldn't even trade for any of the shoes! After spending a good half hour searching for another pair of shoes, we found this out after making another trip and standing in line at customer service. So, I had to return both items and had to forfeit most of my Kohl's cash, too. Ended up not saving at all and would have never bought the other items except to get the kohls cash deal.
